Today I am going to describe the benefits of being a full time Blogger. I am actually a part time blogger but I know the importance of having blogging as a full time profession. For me, full time blogging is still a dream. I feel that blogging is what I love to do. I have many reasons which include; I like teaching and guiding people, expressing my ideas and thoughts on a big platform like internet. Moreover, through blogging I can network with many great people which is impossible through a boring job in a multinational company. I like sharing my thoughts and ideas through blogging but unfortunately, I do not see myself accomplishing the goal of becoming a full timer because I have a well paying software job in a multinational, health and life insurance, provident fund and several other facilities linked with my job.
In India, Jobs are a big part of social lives. If you meet a new person the first question that you will encounter is “So dude, in which company do you work?” Moreover a permanent job provides a comfortable and structured lifestyle and it is very difficult to quit a job without getting the another one. So these are some of the reasons that after 30 months of regular blogging, I am unable to dedicate my 100% potential and energy to blogging.
Right now I am not confident, that’s why currently sticking to my current job. But If you are sure that you will do great thing after going for full time blogging, I would suggest, just go for it. Always remember these golden words of Mark Twain.
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover. – Mark Twain
Steve Jobs also says the same thing.
You’ve got to find what you love. And that is as true for your work as it is for your lovers. Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it. And, like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on. So keep looking until you find it. Don’t settle.
So if you have found that you really love blogging then you should not waste a single second on your current job. Just quit the job and become a professional blogger. Belive me there are many persons who took this great decision and now are big guns on internet.
