So finally Sachin Tendulkar has become the highest run scorer in the history of world cricket. It is really an extra-ordinary performance from an extra-ordinary man. Today in Mohali Test with Australia, he has surpassed previous mark of West Indian Brian Lara. Lara scored 11,953 runs before he retired from international cricket in 2007. Sachin has also become the first batsman to score more than 12,000 runs in Test Cricket. In last 18 years, he consistenly played well against strong teams of Australia, Srilanka, WestIndies, England and South Africa. Tendulkar has played 152 test matches and has scored at an average of 54.02 with a record 39 test centuries and 50 half centuries.
