Flat File Forums

If your web site require a forum then usually a database is needed for its proper installation. Some commonly used database programs are SQL Server, MySQL, Access, Oracle, and FoxPro. Before you sign up with a web host, first inquire if the host can support your database needs. If you want to install SMF, Vbulletin or phpbb etc on your server then you must need a database support from your hosting company. But there are some forum scripts that do not require databases as they go for flat file storage. That data is stored on the server in some text file. Some of flat file forums are as follows –

    Good Day

Just wanted to share my new experience.

If your system fails to start due to an error related to lost HAL.DLL, invalid Boot.ini or any other critical system boot files you can repair this by using the XP installation CD. Simply boot from your XP Setup CD and enter the Recovery Console. Then launch “attrib -H -R -S” on the C:\Boot.ini file and delete it. Launch “Bootcfg /Rebuild” and then Fixboot

    Regards,
    Carl
