Blogging has become very popular these days and blogger.com has emerged as the most popular blog provider. But just signing up on blogger is not enough, there are various tools and techniques that a blogger user must implement in his blog. I will call those tools as “10 essentials for a blogger blog”. So here comes the list.

  1. Technorati.com — If you want to be identified on the blogosphere and the owner of your blog, then you must have membership of technorati. Here you can better describe your blog with your blog profile and technorati tags. It can also search your blog and point out the number of blog or websites linking to you. You can also add the Technorati widgets on your blog that provide different functionalities. So register today on technorati.
  2. MyBlogLog.com — Just like technorati, you should be member of mybloglog.com. It is a great community of bloggers and website designers on internet. You have to paste a small code in your blog so that mybloglog can show you latest visitors, referrels etc. It also enables you to have friendship with other bloggers by adding them in your contact list, sending messages etc.
  3. Blog Stats Tool — For keeping a vigilent eye on the blog visitors, you may use the services of sitemeter , icerocket , extreme tracking , Google Analytics.
  4. Feedburner.com — It generates feeds compatible with all feed readers for free like feed of abhisays.com. It allows your blog visitors to subscribe by email to your new posts. For this users have to enter their email. It also allows you to put easy subscribe buttons for XML, Add to yahoo, Add to Newsgator, Add to MSN etc.
  5. Haloscan — Blogger does not provide the facility of trackback. But Haloscan provides a way to integrate free trackback in our blog by adding a small code. we can also integrate their comments component.
  6. Remote Image Hosting — Blogger provides the facility of hosting of images on its own server space making it easier to host images in the posts. But it has a big disadvantage we can’t customize or edit / delete the blogger images. So in my opinion, it’s better to host the images at remote servers like imageshack , photobucket etc.
  7. Blogger Mobile — When we send text or photos from our mobile phone to go@blogger.com they’re automatically posted to a new blog page.
  8. Pingoat — Pingoat is a service that pings or notifies a number of services that keep track of weblogs and publish them. By pinging, you let the services know that your blog has been updated and hence, they crawl and index your site, publishing your blog contents, thus increasing your blog’s popularity.
  9. w.bloggar — It is a Post and Template editor, with a large number of features and resources that the browser based blog editors ( like the blogger editor ) do not offer. It enables users to have only one interface to several accounts hosted on several different sites, using different publishing systems. It helps to manage multiple blogs on Blogger very easily and effectively.
  10. Earning Money — For earning money you can use Google Adsense, Text Link Ads etc. I will cover this section in a full-fledged article.
