Have you heard about PowerSet ? Hold on, I am not talking about concepts of set theory. Actually, PowerSet is a San Francisco based search engine company who is developing a natural language search engine which will compete with Google, Live, AltaVista and Yahoo. That search engine will answer the query of user’s questions. At present all the search engines are based on keywords. According to PowerSet, question search is a better way to search. So finally they have launched a new search engine as today, the company has announced the release of this search engine but at present this search engine is only searching Wikipedia. For this Powerset has created an index of Wikipedia by studying the meaning of entire sentences rather than the relationship between words. Now the user will have to type the complete question to get the complete answer from the search result.
Let us take an example, search “when India got Independence” on both search engines, PowerSet and Google and now compare the results. The picture is clear Powerset has come up with best possible search result. Now it is quite clear that Google is not number 1 Search Engine for Wikipedia.

But PowerSet has a big journey ahead, it is very difficult to implement this search technique to millions of websites of world. But this is not a point of discussion, the moral of the story is that all the Wikipedia lovers including me have got a powerful search tools to read the relevant content on this great encyclopedia. Google might be good and powerful today, but might end up being a joke in the future. Watch your words cause you might eat them tomorrow!
Powerset is nice, but nowhere near the usability of the Google’s current status.
But today google is king.

I tried using this thing, and it is the biggest B.S. It doesn’t work guys. It is a cool feature and clean but it needs to add a much more information for it to find status.
Hey Google also used the concept of PowerSet, if you tyoe string in quote (e.g. “when indian got independence”) you will get same type of result..
