Beware of Malicious Google search results

Cyveillance, a private Internet-monitoring company based in Arlington County, Virginia , has discovered a new attacks, masked within Google search results, that redirects to malicious and infected web sites. The company has claimed that it has identified more than 350,000 links that infect Google search results which acts as gateways to viruses and malicious contents. You will be surprised to know that a single click on a normal Google search result can transport you to the world of viruses, trojans and malwares. I will give you one example.

This is the list of top 20 search keywords in last a few days on Google India.

  14. Give me some sunshine lyrics

I will take one keyword “N D Tiwari YouTube” and search on Google.

Check the search result just below YouTube. In the url see engine.php?q=nd-tiwari-youtube. If you click this link, you land on some site called webnon.com having malicious code, and it will ask for a scan of your PC. Even if you click the cancel button, it will start doing some scanning. See the screenshots.

Think twice before clicking any Google search result.
