This time its turn of Union Bank of India (UBI). It has come up with around 1000 vacancies of Specialist Officers and Managers in its different branches across India. UBI is one of India’s largest state-run banks and is also listed on the Forbes 2000. It has assets of USD 13.45 billion. The Head Office of UBI is located in Mumbai. UBI was inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi in 1919. Indira Gandhi nationalised this bank in 1975 and hence it became a public sector company. Now Union Bank is a Public Sector Unit with 55.43% Share Capital held by the Government of India. The Bank came out with its Initial Public Offer (IPO) in August 20, 2002 and Follow on Public Offer in February 2006.
