It is a sensational news for all Formula 1 fans, German driver Michael Schumacher has announced his return to F1 circuit. The seven time world champion ended all speculations surrounding his Formula One comeback. He has declared for the first time that he will make his comeback next season in 2010. After retiring in 2006, he told Ferrari boss Luca di Montezemolo that he wants to return. It will be a great comeback four years after hanging up his helmet. Schumacher is approached by Mclaren-Mercedes GP team for signup for next season.
Ferrari president Di Montezemolo also announced the possibility of return of Schumacher and said it will be good for F1. The main reason for Mercedes trying to get Schumacher is absence of two times world champion Fernando Alonso in team. Schumacher, currently 41, will be officially confirmed by Mercedes GP in the next few weeks.
This will be the second attempt by the German driver to return to the racing. Earlier in July 2009, he was ready to come back to the circuit after the accident of Ferrari driver Felipe Massa got injured in a car accident. Ferrari also announced that Michael Schumacher will take Felipe Massa’s place for the remainder of the 2009 Formula 1 season. But he was not able to make a sensational return because he couldn’t pass the fitness test of FIA. Mainly for the injuries caused by the bike-accident in February and fractures in the area of head and neck. So it will again be a move to watch out for next F1 season.
