Vindu Dara Singh becomes Bigg Boss season 3 winner

in: Hot Shot

Bigg Boss Season 3 ended on a high note with actor Vindu Dara Singh winning the season 3 of popular TV reality show. As the winner of the contest Vindu will get prize money of Rs 1 crore. The finale of the show took place last night on Saturday. Bigg Boss season 3 started 12 weeks ago and had 15 participants initially. All participants went through a grueling exercise inside a house at Lonavala, Maharshtra. Vindu knocked down veteran actress Poonam Dhillon and emerging model Pravesh Rana in the finals to win the title. They have been staying in the “Bigg Boss” house since Oct 4 2009 without any contact from the outside world.

Vindu, The 45-year-old, son of former wrestling champion and popular actor Dara Singh, has been waiting for a great success in his career since making his debut in film industry in 1994. Vindu’s victory would hopefully work in his favour because even though he had his father’s. legacy, he couldn’t script the same success story.

In the third season of Bigg Boss, it was Vindu’s anger quotient which became one of the main TRP-earning factors for Colors TV channel. Colors has attracted average of 4-4.5 TRPs (Television Rating Points) for 9-10 pm slot. Vindu was mainly involved with most of the plotting and planning on the show and also had many verbal fights with his co-contestants. But at last luck worked in his favour and he received maximum number of votes from the public despite of his father never being voted for him. He repeatedly said “Yeh SMS karna bachchon ke liye hota hai (Sending SMS votes is all for kids). I haven’t sent any vote for Vindu. Our relatives and friends have sent votes for him”. Victory in Bigg Boss will definitely boost the acting career of Vindu.

The grand finale of season 3 was hosted by megastar Amitabh Bachchan. It included performances by eliminated contestants of the season like Raju Srivastav, Shamita Shetty, Tanaaz Currim, Aditi Govitrikar, Kamaal Rashid Khan and Sherlyn Chopra.
