Have you seen the one of the popular reality shows in India, Ek Khiladi Ek Hasina? Recently this show was having some controversies due to Ravan-Sita. Actually Harbhajan Singh and Mona Singh dressed as mythological character Ravan and Sita respectively and performed dance show on Partner movie song. He not only appeared dressed like Ravana but also wore vermilion on his forehead (tilak). After this show, Harbhajan Singh was criticized for hurting the feelings and emotions of Hindu-Sikh community of India. Now after more than one week he has apologised and said “never to do anything that could hurt religious sentiments of any community”. He added “I apologise if my actions have hurt anybody. It was not my intention to hurt sentiments of anyone which includes members of my own community, it will be my sincere endeavour not to repeat such things in future”. Mona Singh has already said sorry for this dance.

Two years ago, Harbhajan had apologised after Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC), the top most religious body of the Sikhs, slammed the bowler for leaving his hair uncovered in an advertisement. Earlier this year during one IPL match in mohali, he slapped Indian cricketer S Sreesanth and faced ban from IPL. Three years ago, Harbhajan faced disciplinary action for his comments on the then India coach Greg Chappell, with Punjab Cricket Association telling him to exercise caution while talking to the media. I think Harbhajn has developed a habit of creating some controversy and then saying Sorry in the end.
