After the downfall of Satyam, the new breed of graduates in India are looking for Government jobs. Now the honeymoon of software, retail, marketing, finance seems to be over in India. Parents are saying to their children that if you want to secure your life, better go for Government jobs. I think, they are right because in private sector you can expect pink slip at any moment of time. And due to current economic recession, every multinational is trying to reduce their head counts.
