ISRO launched ten satellites

ISRO_satellite.jpgISRO has silently created a history in space science and research when India’s Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) placed two Indian and eight foreign satellites into their orbits some 600 km above earth. Under the leadership of Dr. Madhavan Nair a group of ISRO scientists achieved this success. The main job of these satellites is to provide data for scientific work in universities and laboratories. This launch took place on 29th April. Unfortunately, this great news got very little attention from media and political parties.

After the launch, all the ten satellites were placed into their orbits on Monday morning without a single deviation from the path. In these ten satellites only two were Indian other eight satellites were from countries like Canada, Japan, Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands.

After this grand success, now ISRO is concentrating on their Chandrayaan-1 mission to moon, This mission is going to take place in third quarter of the year. Congratulations ISRO for this fantastic achievement and best of luck for Chandrayaan mission.
