Old Doordarshan TV ads part 2

Old-Doordarshan-Ads.jpgDoordarshan is still one of the largest broadcasting organizations in the world. Very few people know that it started in 1959. Earlier everything was black and white. The 1982 Asian games in Delhi changed the fortune of Doordarshan. New powerful transmitters were installed nationwide for terrestrial broadcasting. At the same time, arrival of color televisions in Indian market enhanced the popularity of Doordarshan. The eighties was the ear of Doordarshan with soaps like Hum Log, Buniyaad, Ramayan, Mahabharat and songs based programs like Chitrahaar and Ragoli. Live coverage of cricket matches also became very popular. Due to this huge popularity and success, Doordarshan started getting advertisements and commercials. I have already picked out some old Ads in first part of this series. So here comes the Old Doordarshan TV advertisements.
