How Spock searches People ?

What do you search on internet ? Some of the popular searches on internet are Britney Spears, Sachin Tendulkar, Bill Gates etc. Do you know, what is special about these searches. All these come under the category known as “People Search”. According to the search experts, people search is the most popular search on internet. These days I have become regular visitor of Spock- the best for people search. It is a people search website that indexes almost 100 million people. You can call it as people search engine, also. It was founded in 2006 by two Indians Jay Bhatti and Jaideep Singh. Most of the records on Spock are from publicly available sources like LinkedIn, XING, MySpace, Friendster, Wikipedia etc. Here people can be searched by name, e-mail or by “tag” (e.g. dancer, lawyer, web developer, blind, curly hair, sexy etc). Spock users can create such tags. In the search result you can find links to a person’s other locations on the web like on other social bookmarking sites.

Let’s give you an online example. Now I am searching “Aishwarya” on Spock. On just clicking search button, I have got search results for the keyword “aishwarya”. The first link is of famous bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai. Now I click to know more about her. On next page I have got almost all the important sources of information about Aiswarya on internet. That is what I can call a magnificent people search. In my opinion it is not easy to search for people on Google, yahoo and other search engines. That’s why I prefer to search on Spock for searching people. There you can also find the list of top 200 searches. Some of the cool searches are Model Actress, Video Blogger, shows Brazilian fashion model etc.

Let me show you the difference when you search “abhishek” on google and then on spock.

Spock
