Every year in the first full week of December the most daring and adrenaline pumping sports of Rodeo take place in Las Vegas as a national tournament to find out whose is the most daring of all the cowboys in this annual rodeo event. Rodeo is also know as Super Bowl of Rodeo, World Series of Rodeo, or more commonly NFR.

This event is organized every year in Las Vegas by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. The organization established the NFR in 1958 in order to determine the world champion in each of rodeo’s seven main events: calf roping, steer wrestling, bull riding, saddle bronc riding, bareback bronc riding, and team roping. The world championship steer roping competition has always been held separately from the regular NFR. The cow boy association(PRCA) is the mentor and head of this Gala sport event which draws millions of fans and viewer ship to the event which takes place over a period of 10 days.As the every year this time too the sponsor of this event has been Wrangler.

There are many interesting facts about Rodeo like the dirt of the field is brought from UNLV, as the dirt is ment to be special and is also stored here for the rest of the season.The Thomas & Mack Center is the home court for the UNLV basketball team. By hosting the NFR, the basketball team plays a few of their away games for about 12 days every December while the NFR is held here.
