Why you need a better Alexa ranking?

alexa-ranking.gifWhat does a high Alexa rating mean to a webmaster? It shouldn’t mean that much as it’s not accurate. Alexa is a website that tracks a website’s traffic history, and gives a ranking based upon the number of visitors. Alexa utilizes web usage information, which tells us what is being seen on the internet. This information comes from the community of Alexa Toolbar users. For each time you visit a website using Alexa tool bar it multiples that by ten, because it is assumed that for every one Alexa tool bar user there are nine non users. So I always recommend to use Alexa Toolbar to improve alexa ranking. At present my blog is revolving around 100, 000 rank.

Let me explain why you should worry about Alexa Rankings?

  • But there are many internet shoppers who are still very skeptical of where they’re going to do there business online.
So they usually go where the others are going and they usually use alexa.com or other traffic rankers to see how your site ranks.
  • E-Bay auctions are using Alexa as proof they are selling a high traffic domain, scripts are being made to calculate website value based on Alexa ratings, and reputable news websites are using Alexa data to write articles about the biggest website in the world!
  • If you want to sell ad space of your website through services like Text-Link-Ads and other services like that, you need a better Alexa Rankings & google PR.
  • If you are writing sponsored articles for sites like reviewme, sponsoredreviews, payperpost then alexa ranking is a big criteria for getting higher amounts for writing paid reviews.
  • So the better you’re ranking the more business you’ll get because the user will feel very confident in you!
