Only a year after leaving the chair of prime minister of England, he has become the world’s highest paid public speaker. He has amassed a wealth of 12 million pounds over the past one year. This wealth is more than six times of the income he earned during his Prime Minister-ship. Moreover, he has a two year of waiting list for bookings. His clients are ready to pay even 250,000 dollars for a typical speech of around 90 minutes.

He loves to speak on finance related topics as he tours mainly include speaking to audiences including investment banks, private equity firms and chambers of commerce. According to the Times, he has earned more money from speeches than Bill Clinton, the former US president, did in his first year after leaving office. As a senior adviser to Wall Street financial bank JP Morgan Chase, he has earned up to £2 million a year, while his salary from Zurich Financial Services to work as an adviser on international politics and climate change is around £500,000.

He was Leader of the Labour Party from 1994 to 2007 and the Member of Parliament for Sedgefield from 1983 to 2007. Blair was elected Leader of the Labour Party in July 1994.
