Finally PagalGuy, the biggest internet community website for MBA aspirants in India has changed its homepage. Now PagalGuy is using WordPress. The PagalGuy website team has integrated their vBulletin forum with WordPress. Earlier they were using PhpNuke. PagalGuy.com is India’s biggest and most trusted MBA preparatory resources website, used by over 500,000 MBA applicants every month. This website started in 2002. The main aim of PG is to create smart and useful products to make MBA aspirants’ lives easier. Experts also say that ‘PG is among the handful of websites that pioneered true and robust online communities in India.’ Now PG has more than 1.6 million discussion posts written by over 350,000 users solely on MBA preparation and admissions.
WordPress is a free and the most popular open source blog publishing application and Content Management System. The switch of PG from PhPNuke to Wordpress reflects the increasing influence of WordPress in internet world. I also use WordPress for my blog.
Today I will show you older versions of PagalGuy. Here you will see how the PG team covered the long journey from normal static html page to Joomla, phpBB, mambo, phpNuke and finally WordPress. One thing I would like to say that they make good use of Open Source Technologies. These are some of the snaps of Old PagalGuy. Click on the image to enlarge.
