Last night, the 54th Idea filmfare awards were announced. Ashutosh Gowarikar’s ‘Jodha Akbar’ became the best film and also bagged awards like Best Director for Ashutosh and Best Actor for Hritik Roshan. Also, Farhan Akhtar’s debut movie ‘Rock On’ bagged five awards. Priyanka Chopra won the “Best Actress” award for ‘Fashion’. After winning the Oscars, AR Rahman won two Filmfare awards “Best Background Score” for ‘Jodha Akbar’ and “Best Music Director” for ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’. Om Puri and India’s first Oscar Award winner Bhanu Athaiya got the “Lifetime Achievement Award” for their contribution to Indian Cinema.
