I am waiting for the release of Delhi-6. It is a forthcoming Hindi film directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra (who earlier directed Rang de Basanti) starring Abhishek Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor, Om Puri, Atul Kulkarni, and Divya Dutta. The movie is based on his growing up years in Chandni Chowk area of Old Delhi. It will be Mehra’s third directorial venture after super-flop Aks and the super-hit Rang De Basanti. American-born Indian, Roshan (Abhishek Bachchan) brings his ailing grandmother back to India. This journey becomes the longest journey of his life. The main theme of the story is the ancient Chandni Chowk. In the movie, it is a character in herself.
Chandni Chowk represents the chaos, religion, beliefs and ethos of the Indian people. The PIN code of Chandni Chowk is 110006, thats why the movie has been given the name Delhi 6.
