Ekvivaahaisabhi1.PNGKyunki Saas bhi kabhi bahu thi has finally come to an end on Star Plus but out family film makers of Rajshri production are not learning lesson from this event. Again they are back with family melodrama. They are all set to launch the movie Ek Vivaah aisa bhi, this november. Through its promos and snaps, I feel that there is nothing new in this movie, it looks like sequel of Vivaah. This time we have Isha Koppikar and Sonu Sood in lead roles. This is Rajshri’s 52nd movie. The theme of movie is strong and beautiful bonding between relationships. The film is produced by Kamal Kumar Barjatya, RajKumar Barjatya, Ajit Kumar Barjatya. The soulful music and lyrics are by veteran Ravindra Jain. Kaushik Ghatak is making his directorial debut in Bollywood with this movie. He has successfully directed serials like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Sanjeevani and Rajshri’s Woh Rehnewali Mahlon Ki.

Ekvivaahaisabhi.PNGChandni belongs to a middle-class family, living in one of the tiny by lanes of old Bhopal. She lives with her father and younger siblings- Anuj and Sandhya. Chandni, who is deeply attached to her school going brother and sister, is trained in classical and folk music. During a stage performance she falls in love with Prem. He hails from a rich business family. He is an unconventional ghazal singer full of mischief and pranks. Life is picture perfect until, on the day of their engagement Chandni,s father passes away… suddenly she becomes the eldest in her family.

Ekvivaahaisabhi2.PNGOn one hand, her ‘mehendi’ adorned hands are beckoning her to the dream home for her fiancĂ© and the other hand are her siblings, whom she cannot take along with her. Chandni decides not to marry so that she can bring up her little brother and sister with self-respect. Prem understand her and stands by her through thick and thin as she goes through her struggle. He unconditionally waits for Chandni for 12 long years until she fulfills all her responsibilities as an elder sister. ‘Truly… sometimes the greatest love stories are… the ones that stand the test of time.’

Synopsis from Rajshri website.

Hey Abhishek, it seems that this movie is remake of Tapasya. It was a 1976 Hindi movie produced by Tarachand Barjatya for Rajshree Productions. The film is directed by Anil Ganguly. The film stars Rakhee, Parikshat Sahni, Lalita Pawar, A. K. Hangal, and Asrani. The films music is by Ravindra Jain. This time Rajshri wants to repeat the history of remake of Nadiya ke paar. Actually Hum aapke hai kaun was remake of Nadiya ke paar. It is really pathetic, that Rajshri doesn’t have any new story, new idea. Just they are trusting their old hit films.
