The year 2011 has been quite phenomenal for the Hindi film industry. Five releases of 2011 made it into the elite list of highest-grossing Bollywood films. Bodyguard became the highest grosser with collection of Rs. 140,95,00,000 at the box office. Also this year, for the first time in Indian film history, three films crossed the 100 crore mark at the box office. Films like Ra.One, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Bodyguard got worldwide commercial success. Several unexpected major successes also arose, including Delhi Belly and Murder 2. 2011 set the record for biggest cumulative top-ten-films collections of all time.
