A twenty years old Brazilian student, Catarina Migliorini, has sold her virginity in an online auction for US$780,000 as part of a documentary organised by an Australian filmaker Jason Sisely. She was the subject of 15 bids, with a Japanese man named only as Natsu winning on Wednesday night, according to the website of the film “Virgins Wanted”. He beat out competition from 14 other men, mostly from Brazil but also from India, Australia and the United States. She is extremely excited and her family in Brazil is also extremely happy for her. She will use part of the cash to build homes for poverty-stricken families.

Yesterday, Apple announced the iPad mini. The 7.9-inch and 1024×768 pixels new iPad device will come in both Wi-Fi only and Wi-Fi with cellular configurations. It is the fifth overall generation of the iPad line and the first to feature a reduced screen size. It features the same internal specifications as the iPad 2, including its display resolution. However unlike iPad 2, it has 5MP and 1.2MP cameras and the Lightning USB connector. The iPad Mini will be priced starting at $329 in the United States. It will begin shipping on November 2, 2012 in the United States, Australia and European countries.

Sand art is actually modelling sand into an artistic form, such as a sand brushing, sand sculpture, sandpainting, or sand bottles. There are two basic building ingredients, sand and water, mainly used for this art. They are available in abundance on a sandy beach, so most sand play takes place there, or in a sandpit. Tidal beaches generally have sand that limits height and structure because of the shape of the sand grains. Sand castles are typically made by children, simply for the fun of it, but there are also sand sculpture contests for adults that involve large, complex constructions. On Monday The Hindu published an article naming “Behind Robert Vadra’s fortune, a maze of questions”. In the article Shalini Singh, Deputy Editor The Hindu, excellently articulated and raised the grey areas between the relationship of DLF, a real-estate giant and Robert Vardra, son-in-law of Sonia Gandhi. In my opinion, it was the best journalistic investigation of the claims made by Kejriwal and Bhushan. Shalini Singh’s analysis was mind boggling and a big blow to DLF, Robert Vadra and the Gandhi family. I think, with this article, she is able to maintain the Hindu’s high standards of ethical, classy and objective journalism.

Ramayana is my second favorite story. Of course the first one is Mahabharata. Ramayana is one of the great Hindu epics, which beautifully describes the duties of different relationships. It portrays ideal human characters such as the ideal father, ideal mother, the ideal brother, the ideal wife and the ideal king. Most of the us have heard this story time and again. Also, several people have already tried earlier to modify its story and fit it into the canvass of Facebook. On 23rd September, I saw empty white space coming in place of Google Ads on abhisays.com. At that time, I ignored those boxes but later I realized that Google had banned my website from Adsense ad serving. This was big shock for me as I was using adsense on abhisays.com from last five and half years and it was the best source of revenue for me.
