Bill Gates said bye to MicroSoft

Bill_Gates.jpgFinally Bill Gates has said bye to Microsoft. Yesterday, Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates delivered his final speech as Microsoft’s full-time employee at the company’s annual TechEd conference on Tuesday. Around 33 years ago he co-founded Microsoft with Paul Allen and made it the largest software company of the world. During his 33 years old career at Microsoft, Gates held the positions of CEO and chief software architect. Still he has around 9% shares of Microsoft and is third richest person on earth. He is the man behind revolution of personal computers and user friendly operating systems. He has also donated large amounts of money to various charitable organizations and scientific research programs through the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. However some of the business analysts criticize his business tactics as according to them, he always tried to curb the competition in market by unfair means.

In his speech, he said that the success of Microsoft really is due to its relationship with developers. He also added “It will put me in new territory, that’s the first time I’ve really changed my career since I was 17 years old. I’ve been completely immersed in software.”

bill_gates_time_magazine_cover_april_1984.jpgOn competition with Google, he revealed Microsoft’s plans to compete with companies like Google and Amazon.com to provide the industry’s largest data centers for web or internet hosting services. He also discussed about beta 2 of the next version of IE, IE 8 which will be available in August. He then introduced Microsoft’s employee Brian Harry on stage to demonstrate some of the progress Microsoft has made in its modeling strategy. Actually Microsoft has plans to deliver some of the first test versions of a modeling language, repository, and tools. He demonstrated new tools called Architecture Explorer and Architecture Layer Diagram that allow architects and developers to work to make sure code stays in line with architecture guidelines.

Well, Bill Gates is no longer with Microsoft, but the software world will always be obliged to him for his ideas, innovations and priceless inventions. Hey Bill wish you best wishes in your new role in Bill and Melinda Foundation. Let conclude with his famous Quote

“I don’t think there’s anything unique about human intelligence. All the neurons in the brain that make up perceptions and emotions operate in a binary fashion.”
