Just yesterday, I read in MSN about top Indian IT companies and their growth rate. Indian IT companies TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Satyam, Cognizant and HCL have acquired the top positions in the world of IT industry in terms of growth. They have around 2.4 % share of total worldwide IT services market in 2007. Earlier it was 1.9 per cent in 2006. This report has been publishes by Gartner’s IT expert team. They said “With their strong growth rates that exceed the overall world’s IT market, India-based IT services providers are increasing in their competitiveness and taking market share away from the rest of the market.” Now IT companies are competing in big Information and computer outsourcing deals.
No big giant can neglect this growing IT power. Indian softwares are running majority of world businesses. I feel there are two reasons for this success of IT industry. The first reason is huge number of talented software professionals in India having strong mathematics and computing background and the other is cheap labor. Still Tata Consultancy Services is the largest IT company of India with revenue growth of 34.8 %. In 2007, Indian IT companies accounted for 3.6 % and 1.9 % of the US IT services market and Western European IT services market respectively, compared with 2.8 % and 1.5 % in 2006.

It is very nice to see this kind of growth rate for Indian IT companies. Like you’ve mentioned Talent is the number one reason for this growth.
