Yahoo launched Glue in India

yahoo_india_glue.JPGInternet giant Yahoo has launched a new search engine concept called “Glue Beta pages” in India. Now India has become the first country where Glue Pages Beta is launched. According to Yahoo, they have chosen India as it is a very strategic market for Yahoo as India is shifting to innovation, especially local innovation. Glue Pages Beta tries to integrate almost every best information from across the internet on a single search result page. It is currently working for only certain categories of searches like sports, travel, entertainment, health, stocks, and tech. The concept uses intuitive search technology to identify the most relevant search queries. Yahoo has plans to shift Yahoo Glue the U.S. in this summer. At present, Glue Pages Beta results are displayed alongside the usual Yahoo!India search results. However loading of search results is taking quite longer time, so this may be proved to be an issue for Yahoo Glue.

It is really exciting to use this new search engine. Let’s take an example. If you search for “India”, then you will get not only the normal search results but also latest news from India, flickr snaps, maps of India and links of related pages. If you search for “Aishwarya” her YouTube videos, news, images from world wide web. When you search for “Cricket”, you will latest scores and wikipedia link for cricket also. If you are not aware of Yahoo’s new innovation, then you must check out this, right now.

This is the first time that Yahoo has launched a new product in India ahead of the rest of the world. This shows the emergence of India as a IT and internet power.

Interesting Blog, what’s your opinion on outsourcing, have you blogged about that or how technology could help in creating more opportunities for businesses and individuals? There is an interesting competition going on with a chance to win $1000 (http://www.limeexchange.com/contest/details/2) and i was thinking of referring to some of your blog items in my blog.
