How to Buy Books Online in India?

in: Tips and Tricks

Christopher Morley, an American journalist, novelist, essayist and poet, once said that “Lord! when you sell a man a book you don’t sell just twelve ounces of paper and ink and glue – you sell him a whole new life. Love and friendship and humour and ships at sea by night – there’s all heaven and earth in a book, a real book”. Books are integral part of our lives. Even in this age of internet, mobile phones, ipods and other electronic gadgets, the importance of books and reading cannot be underestimated. I also love to spend my free time at the British Library browsing books. Books are not only a great way of passing time but of immersing yourself into the story. Reading a good book transports you to a world of imagination, thoughts and adventures.

Today, I will tell you the best way to buy books online in India. Globally, Amazon and eBay are leaders in online book sales, but in India, I will strongly recommend FlipKart. Through Flipkart.com you can buy books online in India. But you will ask, there are many other websites like rediff, Indiatimes, infibeam etc. then how FlipKart is different? FlipKart is different because they offer low prices, free shipping and an intuitive interface to help you search for all your favorite books. All this comes with excellent 24/7 customer support service.

They provide up to 33% Off on New Releases & Bestsellers. Recently they have added movies, music, games and even cellphones into their website at very attractive prices. Apart from Visa, Mastercard and AMEX, Flipkart.com supports a wide variety of payment options, including Debit and ATM cards. They also accept payments by Cheque / Demand Draft / Money Order as well as through Cash-on-Delivery.
