Who is hosting this blog?

wiht125x125-2.gifNew bloggers always ask a question, who is hosting the blogs like TechCrunch, Gizmodo, Boing Boing, Lifehacker, Mashable etc.? There is a tool on internet through which we can find the hosting provider of any website or blog. It is called whoishostingthis.com, this tool will help you to find out who is hosting any web site. Simply type in the domain, and they’ll tell you which web hosting company the site uses. For displaying the web hosts of the website, they are using some API powered by BuiltWith.com. They provide this API free to use for most sites, no matter big and small. Just only one condition is there, the results you display link back to them from your site.

So the question is where are these Top 100 blogs hosted. This graph will answer this question.

Media Temple hosts over twice as many top blogs as any other web hosting company in the list so this web hosting is very popular among top blogs. My blog is hosted on The Planet.com Internet Services, Inc. Actually I have purchased the hosting from HostGator which is a re-seller of theplanet.com.

Good idea! You have done great job by giving URL from where we can identify any website host!
