After properly handling her role as a judge in Miss Universe contest in Vietnam, Ishaa Koppikar has just returned to India. In the Miss Universe contest she was not only judge. Actually she shared the judges’ dais with Italian fashion designer Roberto Cavalli, TV actress Nadine Velazquez, winner of the Miss Universe 2004 Jennifer Hawkins and famous hair stylist Louis Licari. According to Ishaa, it was quite a tough task to select the best, for it’s not just about selecting the most beautiful woman but also judge their intelligence, warmth, social skills. On this role of Judge she said, “I was amused when the other judges thought I was a contestant.They were surprised when I told them that I was there to judge the contest.”
She was also happy with the respect of Indian women on international fronts. She said, “All the celebs and the contestants spoke well of Indian women”. Nadine Velazquez told her how much she loved Indian women and that she too wanted to become an actress in Bollywood. Roberto Cavalli was also impressed by her and she even wore his creation. Actually in the main event she was supposed to wear a Manish Malhotra creation but it wasn’t ready on time, so she picked up a Roberto Cavalli.
Recently she has changed her name spelling to Eesha Koppikhar, on the advice of numerologist Niraj Mancchanda. Some of her famous movies are Darling, Salaam-e-Ishq, 36 China Town, Don, Kyaa Kool Hai Hum, Girlfriend, LOC Kargil, Company and Qayamat.
