This time Nokia has come up with a new Touch Screen mobile phone in India, called Nokia 5800 XpressMusic. Its price will be Rs. 21,839 and will be available in India by January 2009. According to cell phone experts and geeks, this phone has some special features, which challenges Apple Inc’s dominance in the digital music market of India. Some of the salient features of this cell phone are as follows :
- It has a large 3.2 inch touchscreen display with 16 million colors.
- inbuilt with an accelerometer that takes care of automatic screen rotation activity.
- has a powerful 3.2 mega pixel camera with Carl Zeiss lens, LED flash and video capturing.
- has a virtual QWERTY keyboard, alphanumeric keypad and a pen stylus to make text messaging and SMS very simple and convenient.
- has built-in Nokia Maps which helps in locating a destination along with a GPS server with voice navigation. Moreover, it has a handwriting recognition software, haptic touch technology and Mobile Transfer Protocol support.
- Various software applications like Media Bar, Nokia Music PC client and Windows Media Player are also there to enhance the user experience.
- This mobile comes with flash support
- It also supports 3G, which can be very handy in faster web browsing.
Nokia is also offering a music store, which is part of OVI. On this online music store, users can access latest hits and enjoy music in their phone. For this onlne music store, Nokia has collaborated with leading international and national music companies; Universal Music Group, Sony BMG, EMI, Warner and Tseries, Big Music and Yashraj respectively.
