What gives you pleasure? Alcohol, Smoking, eating in five star hotels, sex, traveling, meditation, doping. Pleasure is age dependent, you can’t enjoy sex when you are old, however you can enjoy meditation during your old age. What I think, you don’t have time to enjoy the life as you always aspire for more and more. Today, we will analyze why you don’t have time? Have you ever thought why are you running 24 by 7? You should ask this question from yourself. Everything almost everything you have done in your life so far has been in pursuit of happiness. You always talk about career, business, and making money. But do you think these things will give you pleasure? When you born, you were naked, completely naked. Now you have grown up. You have your own priorities, life, job, family. Now answer me, are you happy with your life, your achievements? Can you suggest 10 moments of your life when you were extremely happy? Difficult question, isn’t? In the past one month or say one year how many moments of joy have you known?
You always dream of being rich, dream of being famous, dream of being successful, wouldn’t it be simpler? If you dream of being happy, sleep with a smile on the face, and wake up with a sense of satisfaction. Believe me, you don’t want to be satisfied. You want to win the Rat Race with a world record. Is it possible? Think twice. If you are unhappy with your life, then think that you came into this world, you came with no investment as you were completely naked so whatever happened in your life, anyway you are in profit. Stop talking about investments, profits and growth. The main problem is that you always try to extract a little more out of life, to find access to that which is not yet for you.
You always try to imitate other, better say, live the life of others, and try to extract joy from outside. Your decisions are based on thoughts and ideas of other persons, your parents, friends, relatives, well-wishers, colleagues as you don’t want to use your brain, listen to your inner voice. You always live with the fear of failure. You don’ want to take risks in your life. Just want to follow the existing line.
Now let’s come to the solution which has been suggested by Steve Jobs.
Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.
So the moral of the story is that don’t let the ideas and thoughts of other people drown out your own inner voice and you must have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. Then only you can be happy with your life.
