Terrorism in India in last 15 years

in: India,Politics

Terrorist.jpgTerrorism is one of the biggest challenges for India. Many part of India including, Jammu and Kashmir, Central India (Naxalism) and North-eastern States are affected with this problem. Terrorism in India has often been alleged to be sponsored by its neighbor Pakistan. However, Pakistan always claim that most of the acts of terrorism in its land are sponsored by India’s RAW intelligence service. India says that Inter-Services Intelligence of Pakistan is responsible for terrorism in India whereas Pakistan says India’ RAW intelligence service is doing all sort of terrorist activities in Pakistan. Most of the terrorists in India are from Islamic background especially in Jammu and Kashmir. This is basically due to unemployment and poverty in Islamic nations like Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh etc.

In my opinion Islam is against Terrorism. a true Muslim cannot hurt any body forget about innocent children, men and women. A true Muslim should always follow the rule of forgiveness taught by the Quran and Holy Prophet. No one has a right to kill in the name of ALLAH and defame the religion of Peace. If any one found guilty of terrorism whether he is a muslim or non muslim he is liable to get death punishment as per Islam. All those who have killed our innocent non muslim brothers ( in any state of India) in the name of Islam are not Muslims, since their neighbors(whether a person or a house or a state or a Country) are not safe from them.

Let’s see what Quran and Prophet Muhammad says about Terrorism ::

  • Any one who kills any innocent human being is as if he has killed the whole of Humanity and anyone who has save a human being irrespective of caste, culture, religion or race, it is as if he has save the whole of Humanity. Al Quraan
  • All muslims are brothers in Faith and all Human beings (Whether they belong to any religion or race, black or white) are brothers in Humanity. Al Quraan
  • A person is not a Muslim if his neighbors( whether of any race or religion) are not safe from his deeds. Prophet Muhammed
  • A True Muslim should respect the religions of his other non muslim brothers and sisters. Prophet Muhammed
  • A True Muslim is a guardian and protector of his neighbors property, family, esteem (IZZAT), etc whether they belong to any religion or race, black or white). Prophet Muhammed

Now Let’s see some of the major terrorist attacks on India in last fifteen years.

February 14, 1998 – Coimbatore blasts, 46 deaths.

    Hi Abhi,

I am a Muslim and I am from Pakistan. You have posted a very serious issue here. Since, we all know that both Pakistan and India continuously blame each other for terrorist attacks in their states. Wouldn’t it be good if they plan some action against terrorism jointly?? As we all know that we have almost same culture, can’t we live happily with each other?? Living with peace and love….

As far as these terrorist forces are concerned they say that they are Muslims and they are doing it all for Islam. I really don’t agree with them. Majority of them are just sick mind illiterate peoples doing it all for money.

I have several Non-Muslim friends and we all take care for each other regardless of our religions.

Terrorism and religions are two different things. We will have to make it understand to others that Please don’t relate terrorism with religion!!

    Thank You!

respected sir, you have not given data how many killed in naxal attack from 2001 till today. whether naxals are not terrorist. after reciving data you find that religion and terrorism has no link, because naxal are hindu and they are killing hindu.

    Dear Abhi,

I agree to you point that those who are killing innocent humans beings cannot be a muslim, and you have quoted Quranic verses to back your claim.

I saw that you have mentioned few Attacks of recent times alleged to be don by Islamic Terror Outfits.

I just want to add few data which you have missed out about the terror activities of Naxals, Maoits and Hardliner Hindu Groups–

    Source:(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naxalite-Maoist_insurgency

    Human toll

The first combat deaths of the insurgency were in 1980.[7] The highest number of incidents of violence has taken place in four worst-affected states—Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Jharkhand and Orissa—where 2,212 people lost their lives from January 2006 to August 2009.[29] Around 1,100 people are known to have died during 2009. The number includes 600 civilians, 300 security personnel and 200 rebels.[34]

There were more than 40,000 displaced people in 2006.[35]

According to the Institute of Peace and Conflict studies, Naxal groups have recruited children in different capacities and exposed them to injury and death however the same accusation has been levelled at the state-sponsored Salwa Judum anti-Maoist group, and Special Police officers (SPOs) assisting the government security forces.[36]

    [edit] Deaths related to violence
From the Ministry of Home Affairs it has been stated that:

    1996: 156 deaths [37]
    1997: 428 deaths[37]
    1998: 270 deaths[37]
    1999: 363 deaths[37]
    2000: 50 deaths[37]
    2001: 100+ deaths[37]
    2002: 140 deaths[37]
    2003: 451 deaths[37]
    2004: 500+ deaths[37]
    2005: 700+ deaths[37]
    2006: 750 deaths[37]
    2007: 650 deaths[37]
    2008: 794 deaths[37]
    2009: 1,134 deaths[38]

According to the BBC, more than 6,000 people have died during the rebels’ 20-year fight.[39]

Naxals & Moaist Casualities are just only 10 times more than so called Islamic Terrorim in India.

Yet our focus is just on it, but forgtting the real threat to our nation.

Its just that people should know that Terrorist have no religion their main aim is to benefit their AKAS.

Please people dont be blind by the media please ensure that you know the truth before you conclud anything.

    Thx.

Islam is a religion of peace.Violent people for selfish ends invade countries, make riots and Terrorist attacks
killing helpless innocent people of different countries
and different religions. As a mattr of fact various religious people of different countries have committed
such acts. All these people are selfish, violent, fanatic and cold blooded Inhuman Criminals and are not true to any religion and country and to the Humanity of this world. Many Inhuman Criminals of all religions and Islam are not Human beings cold bloodedly murdering and wounding innocent, helpless people for their Selfish ends
and cannot be justified at all, whatever be the excuse they claim(none are justifiable). But majority of people of the world of different religions live peacefully and
severely condemn these Inhuman acts.Blaming and suspecting innocent people for some mad ,cold blooded criminals is not so fair.
