Recently Internet Security major Norton Symantec has come up with a big list of Top 100 Dirtiest sites, which might infect your computer with malware, trojans or viruses. This list was compiled by Nortan Safe Web. It is a web site of Norton which analyses web sites’ security risks. In this list, most of the web sites are having adult content, however some of them are related to ice skating, deer hunting, catering and legal services. While browsing on internet we face many online threats like viruses, phishing, and spyware, and there are many web sites which try to steal our credit card numbers or email passwords, or even try to crash the operating system. So it is always better to test the unknown Web site with this tool.

This news is going to be the greatest source of relief to all the income tax payers in India. Today the finance minister of India, Pranab Mukherjee proposed a new tax code that aims to moderate and simplify the current income tax rates in India. The new tax code is likely to replace the 40 years old Income Tax Act. It also aims at bringing all other direct taxes like wealth tax under its area. According to this tax code, if your income is 9 lakh per annum then you have to pay only 90000 rupees as income tax to the Government. The Governemnt has also declared that this bill is going to be placed in the Winter Session of the Parliament. These are some of the most striking features of new tax code.

Once again, Shilpa Shetty is in the news for getting a kiss on her rosy cheeks. This time it is not Richard Gere but a temple’s priest. Actually recently she visited Sakhigopal temple and the priest of the temple became so happy with Shilpa’s visit that while blessing her, he gave a kiss on her cheeks. Some local people are also claiming that Shilpa has entered the temple with her shoes in. Two years back, Richard Gere had an impromptu hug and kiss with her during an event to promote safe sex and arise AIDS awareness program in India. Hindi is my mother tongue. I can speak or write Hindi fluently but can’t type using computer keyboard. Now now with the help of Quillpad, I can type text in Hindi using normal English qwerty keyboard. Quillpad is a free online Indian language typing tool where you have to type in Hindi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Marathi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali and Nepali, using the English keyboard. For example, when you type ‘mera naam Abhishek Hai’ in Hindi, Quillpad will convert it directly into the corresponding (Hindi) Devanagari script.

Today our Labour and Employement minister, Mallikarjun Kharge declared in Lok Sabha that nearly 2 lakh (200,000) engineers and 1.32 lakh (132,000) diploma holders were unemployed in 2007. He also said Government is planning to create 15 million jobs by the end of 11th Plan in public and private sectors. This year the number of unemployed engineers and diploma holders is likely to increase heavily due to current economic recession. In 2003, there were 82,000 unemployed engineers in India and in 2005 the number rose to 1.12 lakh (112,000) and due to IT book it fell to 48,000 in 2006. This is really a shocking news for engineers of India. Also, this figure has put a question mark on the quality of education in engineering colleges of India.
