A few years back I read the novel called Q & A written by Vikas Swarup. Q and A is the first novel by Vikas who is an Indian diplomat. It is a nicely written story of Ram Mohammad Thomas, a poor young waiter who becomes the biggest quiz-show winner in history. After this historical win he was accused of cheating and then he explains to his sympathetic lawyer, Smita Shah, just how he managed to answer twelve random questions, by pure luck. As he says, “Well, wasn’t I lucky they only asked those questions to which I knew the answers?” Ram goes on to tell her how by drawing from the experiences of his own turbulent and cruel life he managed to answer the twelve questions that led him to the jackpot.

Today I am going to share a case study of a 28 years old software professional of Mumbai. Sumit is busy better say very busy, with minimum time for a good sleep. He starts his day at seven in the morning. He reaches his office by 9.30 am without breakfast, which he says he has become “used to” and finish his day with dinner in his office at around 10 PM, reaching home at 12 PM, he gets just six hours of sleep. Finally this weekend, I got the chance to watch the most hyped movie of the year, Rab ne Bana di Jodi. Frankly speaking, I am disappointed with Aditya Chopra’s direction as he completely failed to repeat the magic of DDLJ in Rab ne Bana di Jodi. Aditya Chopra has upsetted his fans with his outdated screenplay and efforts of taking the audience for fools. Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi is no DDLJ, it’s not Mohabbaein either. It’s lower than that! I would say, film could have been made much better than this. The story of the movie is quite simple. After the death of Anushka’s father, Shahrukh is married to her but there is a huge age gap between them. This causes difference in opinions, life-style or better say everything. So there is no real romance in the marriage. Then, a dance show airs in their town and Anushka joins the show.

Today I am going to share one inspirational speech by Azim Premji, President and founder of Wipro Technologies. Wipro is one of the brand names in IT outsourcing. Located in over 35 countries with 10 near-shore development centers, Wipro has been declared the 4th largest in the world in terms of market capitalization in IT services having a CAGR of 42% in the last 5 years. Very few people know that IT giant Wipro started as a vegetable oil company in 1947 from an old mill founded by Azim Premji’s father. When he died in 1966, Azim, a graduate in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, took on the leadership of the company at the age 21. He restructured that dying company into Wipro(Western India Vegetable Products Ltd) Ltd in 1966 into a consumer goods (FMCG) company that was then a $2 million hydrogenated cooking oils/fat company, laundry soap, wax and tin containers and later set up Wipro Fluid Power to manufacture hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders in 1975.
