Yeah friends, I am talking about the new movie of Ranbir Kapoor, Bachna Ae Haseeno. Here, Ranbir is surrounded by three actresses, Bipasha Basu, Minissha Lamba and Deepika Padukone. The movie has been directed by Siddharth Anand, who earlier directed Salaam Namaste and Ta Ra Rum Pum. It has been picturised at exotic locales in Australia, Italy and Switzerland. The title of the film has been taken from the 1980s super hit movie ‘Hum Kissi Se Kam Nahin’ song ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’. After a poor start in Saawariya movie, Ranbir Kapoor is back with a new avatar of a cool, trendy guy in Bachna Ae Haseeno. He has great expectations with this movie. In my opinion this role suits his personality so there are good chances of his success. He has given great performance as a Casanova who is amorously and gallantly attentive to women.

23-year-old American swimmer Michael Phelps has won two more gold and surpassed Mark Spitz and Carl Lewis to become the all-time most successful Olympian. Now he is winner of 11 Olympic Gold medals. He has already world record of winning maximum number of Gold medals in one Olympic games. He won 8 Gold medals in the Athens Olympics. Soviet gymnast Alexander Dityatin has also the same record of winning 8 Gold medals. Phelps has won thirteen Olympic medals overall (eleven gold, two bronze). Eight at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens (six gold, two bronze) and five at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games (all gold), which gave him the most gold medals of any Olympic athlete at 11. He was on third position in Time’s list of 100 Olympic Athletes to watch.

This weekend I visited PVR to watch the new movie of Akshay Kumar, Singh is Kinng. I was amazed by the response of the people for this movie. The whole theater was fully packed and all the shows of this movie were running house full. According to latest box office reports, Singh is Kinng” opening weekend gross ticket sales are Rs 59.5 crore worldwide. It has shattered all previous opening weekend box office records. The film has received excellent response in Delhi,UP, Rajasthan, Punjab, UK, Canada, USA and Pakistan. If this trend will continue for the second week also then there are chances that it will become the most successful hindi movie of the year. After this huge success, it won’t be an exaggeration to call Akshay Kumar the real “King”.

Katrina Kaif has played the lead role along with Akshay Kumar. For the first I have seen a Hindi movie with all main characters Sikhs. About 75% of the movie was shot in Australia, around the Gold Coast region and Brisbane. The movie is inspired from 1961 Frank Capra movie Pocketful of Miracles and the 1989 Jackie Chan movie Miracles. There is nothing special in the story of this movie. Let me briefly give you an idea about the story. Lucky Singh(Sonu Sood) is the “king” of the Australian underworld. Happy Singh(Akshay Kumar) who is brother of Lucky Singh promises his brother to bring Lucky back to India. But due to series of incidents Happy Singh himself becomes the king. Meanwhile he meet Sonia(Katrina Kaif) and starts loving her. Soon Happy Singh realizes that being the “king” is no great thing. In the end he returns to India with his brother and Sonia.

Akshay Kumar has shown charismatic screen presence in the movie. Hot and sexy Katrina is excellent on screen. Her acting is improving and again she is looking gorgeous in front of camera. Pritam’s music is above average. But out of all the songs only two are good, one is “Bus ek king” and other is “Teri Ore”. If you like light comedy movies like “No Entry”, “Welcome”, then this movie will prove a good entertainer for you.

India first participated at the Olympic Games in 1900, with athlete Norman Pritchard winning two medals in athletics. Up till now India has won a total of 17 medals, most of them are in hockey. The Indian men’s hockey team won eleven medals in twelve Olympics between 1928 and 1980, which also include six successive gold medals from 1928 to 1956. On the other hand, China first participated in Olympics in 1984. Since then it has emerged as a powerful nation in these games.

Yesterday I got a mail from my reader saying that he needs a good free software which can be used to capture screenshots of any website on internet. Then I send him the list of softwares I use to capture the screen shots of different websites. Earlier when I was new on internet, I used to capture screen shots with the help of MS Paint. But soon I realized its shortcomings and disadvantages. Later I switched to a website screen capture software called WebShot. With the help of WebShot you can easily take screen shots of web pages and save them as full sized images or thumbnails.

Last week I read one news in Malayala Manorma about Shahrukh Khan that he has quit smoking. He told the news reporter that he has quit smoking due to his child. But again in another interview on Monday King Khan replied “No” to this question. He also told that he has no plans to quit smoking. Actually Shah Rukh Khan told the Malayala Manorama reporter that he thought of quitting smoking while he traveled 17 hours on a flight without lighting a cigarette. He thought he can do without smoking in flight, then he can also live without it on land too. But as soon as he landed he forgot everything when he lighted his cigarette. For smoking he has always been criticized by eminent personalities as he is setting a bad example for young generation of India. But he is regular smoker of Marlboro lights.

What I feel he is still unable to quit smoking due his recent controversies like Aamir Khan calling him dog in his blog, his enmity with Bachchan family and his recent spat with Salman Khan. People generally smoke in case of lot of stress and pressures because of personal and economic problems. Smoking gives us somewhat relaxation and makes us happy. It also gives us energy to tackle real life problems.

In US, there has been a job cut yet again in July for the 7th successive month. With the current trend continuing, it is obvious that those without a job would find it even more difficult to find a new job. In US there are approximately 1.7 million people without a job. The rate has now fallen a full percentage from last year figures. What these figures do not include is the number of people who has moved to part time jobs or people who are not willing to work with the current job scenario. Had that also been included, the numbers would have been even more depressing.

Sectors like Construction, Manufacturing, and Retail indicate heavy job losses. Also people are putting in fewer hours so that they could take up part time jobs to earn more. CEO’s of some of the largest firms believe that there aren’t many signs that suggest that things could change for the better in the coming months. Automakers also showed major cost cutting by reducing work force by 4000 jobs this month. There were never ending problems seen in newspaper, magazine and airlines companies as well. What such a job scenario brings is with it is the reduction in bargaining power when it comes to job offers, which have reduced as well.

In India also, the situation is far from what could be called normal.IT companies have cut down on the workforce showing the exit door to less efficient resources. Companies are looking out for “cheap labor “and people with experience are suffering.One of the IT firms in Bangalore have in fact fired many of their top level managers and trusted the responsibility on the shoulders of less experienced and cheaper resources. The idea was to cut down on costs. Would they be able to deliver is another question.

A study in India shows that by 2020, India would have more than 30% people unemployed. This is a very worrying figure, as this would spell out more than 21 crore jobless people. If the trend continues, India would have a working population in 2020 equal to the total population in 1991, the year which started the economic reforms. All these factors could be disastrous for even an economically strong county like the US, I can only hope that the time s to come would be more prosperous and the wounds caused on the economy would heal as soon as possible.

The title of the movie attracts me. It reflects the importance of luck in the life of any person. It is a story of a man who does not follow the normal trends of society. Unlike his other friends, he does not go for a job in a big company. Rather he starts his own company and tries to build it with his friend. In first half an hour, I thought this movie is based on entrepreneurship. But finally like thousands of hindi movies, it ends up with normal spicy scenes, dance numbers, unreal co-incidences etc. But overall I liked the movie. You should watch this movie for at least one time. It’s not a great story or an extraordinary film. But it’s a nice, cute and emotional movie.

Kismet Konnection is directed by Aziz Mirza. He is a well known hindi film director who has directed movies like Yes Boss, Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani and Chalte Chalte. In this movie, Shahid Kapoor and Vidya Balan are in the lead roles with Juhi Chawla and Om Puri in supporting roles. This movie has been produced by Ramesh S Taurani under the banner of Tips Industries. Except the title song, I don’t like other songs. Kismet Konnection is said to be inspired by the Hollywood film, Just My Luck which stars Lindsay Lohan and Chris Pine.

This is a story about an architect called Raj Malhotra (Shahid Kapoor). During his engineering days, he was topper. Unlike his other friends he didn’t join any company. He starts his own business and is search of a client or project. All the things he does goes wrong. The he saw a television ad of Haseena Bano Jann (Juhi Chawla). She is a gypsy who advises people and help them to get rid of their troubles and failures. She tells him that his time is not good and he needs a lucky charm or a person who can change his life. Meanwhile, he meets Priya (Vidya Balan) who wants to save a community center which takes care of old men and women. Raj thinks that Priya is his lucky charm. He associates her with his new project of a shopping mall. Raj lies to Priya by telling her that he will help her save it but instead he is trying to build a shopping mall. Now what happens in the end? Will Priya get success in saving the community center and will Raj achieve his dreams of making a shopping mall? For getting the answers I would recommend you to watch the movie.
