Today I have found an article on Best Indian websites on PC world magazine. From social networking to health, job search to health, and Legal services to matrimony, they have published an extensive list of websites divided in 31 categories. PC World called in a panel of experts to rate the Indian websites. The ratings given to the websites were based on three criteria, Design Score, Technology and User evaluation. In Design score, their experts rated sites on two levels – design and usability. Design included colors, typography, visual appeal, consistency and typography. Usability took account interactively and customization to India. It was of 40 points out of 100. Technology having 40 points covered navigation with structure, interface, diversity error handling and security whereas in User evaluation which has 20 points, website content and overall user experience were taken care into. In case of a tie (same number of points), the website having higher technology score was given the higher priority. I am sharing the list of all the best websites in respective categories. Believe me, some of them were unknown to me before reading that issue of PC world magazine.

These days, I am doing some research on human relationship. What I feel is that the relationships we have with other people are nothing but projections of the relationships we have within ourselves or better say, with our soul. Our external relationships and our internal relationships are in fact the same relationships. They only seem different because we look at them through different eyes. Today I am going to present a really beautiful poem on this “Human Relationship”. This short poem describes two people wanting to separate – resembled by body and soul and how one person is not willing to let the other go, yet the other finds no reasons to stay. In other words, at first they were inseparable and later how one of them wants to part ways , yet the other does not want to let relationship end. This poem is written by Sonu Singhal. He is currently working as a Software Engineer in a multinational company.

   Wounded Soul

A cyclone erupts outside,
Strong winds refusing to die,
Not a soul is in sight,
Can’t anyone hear my soul cry?
Something hurts deep inside,
The pain is too much to bear,
But there ain’t any external wound,
Seems this cruel world doesn’t care.
My arms trying to hold on to the soul,
The soul wanting to forsake it all,
Finally the arms let go,
In a deep hole it descents as it falls.
Body seems dead and cold,
Beseeching the soul to return,
Time slowly sucks life away,
The flame dims as it burns.

But these words don’t impress the soul,

It mocks at the reasons given by body,

The body collapses and falls to the ground,
Finally it succumbs to the pain,
It tried and tried till its last breath,
But all his attempts have gone in vain.
But there is a lesson in this story,
Not all relations last till the end,
Some hearts are meant to be broken,
Not all broken hearts can mend.

What catches the people, it’s the emotions. This is a proven fact that no one can deny, even the biggest hit movies of all times are based on some sort of emotions which tend to carry more and more visitors towards the cinema halls. This formula is also useful in case of Television. “Kynoki Sash Bhi Kabhi Bhau Thi” serial was a big hit, have you ever thought why ? In my opinion, it was closely able to link us with our daily day to day life in one way or the other. Soon this formula was copied by there competitors and the routine application of such serials have made this concept so unpopular that people became bored of such types of soaps. Let us take another example, every middle class Indian who faces a crunch of money wants to become millionaire in seconds. Kaun Banega Crorepati on Star Plus and Indian Idol on Sony changed the whole story of the soaps of the Television industry. One one side Kaun Banega Crorepati brought the money, and on other, Indian Idol brought the name and fame to the middle class people of India. All the winners of Indian Idol like Abhijeet Sawant, Rahul Vaid etc were from middle class. These were the next biggest hits of the Indian TV. Soon formula was adopted by many of the other TV channels and parallel shows started featuring every channel.

But is this the correct way to bring money and fame. I am really hurt when I see small children involved in such game of making money. If the child has to perform in class to fulfill his parents expectation of getting high marks in exams then with reality shows they have to perform at a bigger platforms. Parents think that they have to prepare their children to survive in this competitive world. It is correct, and congrats to all such parents who have succeeded in there mission. But consider the mental stress which a child is facing at such a tender age. If we have small issue at our office we tend to blow down and think of a child who fails to perform on stage, what will happen to his or her confidence. The name and fame is liked by each one of us, but not all are equal but when it comes to competitions. Question still remains open to all, are these shows help us in development of society ? which I am leaving to my readers.

Yesterday, one of my friends showed me a GPS vehicle tracking device which uses the Global Positioning System to determine the precise location of a vehicle to which it is attached and to record the position of the vehicle at regular intervals. The recorded location data can be stored within the tracking unit, or it may be transmitted to a central location data base, or internet-connected computer, using a cellular (GPRS), radio, or satellite modem embedded in the unit. With the help of this device, vehicle’s location to be displayed against a map backdrop either in real-time or when analyzing the track later, using customized software. Then I asked him “Is it possible to track different persons using such GPS Tracking systems ?” His answer was “Yes”. Yeah, it is possible to track any person using these techniques.

In some countries, police uses such GPS trackers to track criminals and their families. There is no doubt that these gadgets are very useful for police, detectives and parents who want to track their small children. But such devices are not good for personal privacy. Yeah, GPS trackers are widely misused by people for knowing the secrets of other people. Tracking your kids or pet animals or vehicles is OK but if you are tracking your spouse, employees or friends then this is not right for one’s privacy.

A lot of the privacy stuff can be overblown due to such devices. But most of the experts say that privacy is always an issue when you have a system that allows you track somebody. I am still wondering what will happen if somebody else plants the GPS tracking device on you to track your all activities. That, in my opinion is the biggest misuse of this technology. I have many doubts related to these tracking gadgets. Let me ask a questions Would you track your spouse if you felt she is cheating and sharing bed with someone else ? Honda Civic Hybrid Car has already been launched in India. Also, the Indian automobile players like M&M and TATA motors are planning to launch Hybrid Cars. Now a question arises that why should we buy a Hybrid than normal gasoline Car ? Today I will address this question. Before I answer this simple question, one basic question, what are hybrids ? When a vehicle uses multiple propulsion systems to provide motive power, it’s called a hybrid vehicle. Combination of propulsion systems may be many types but most commonly used system is gasoline-electric which known as gasoline-electric hybrid vehicles. Electric hybrid vehicles use gasoline (petrol) to power internal-combustion engines (ICEs), and electric batteries to power electric motors. Much more details I shall give you in my next articles.

Yeah Now the question is still there why should we buy Hybrid cars ? The answers are too many to enumerate.

• As hybrid are less polluting and they have higher fuel efficiency than there counterparts. They not only pollute less but also save considerable amount of the fuel for our coming generations. So for controlling pollution, we should use hybrid cars.
• For saving your monthly budget of the gasoline, hybrid car is a good option. As told before they are more fuel efficient, more over like electric car there batteries need to be charged.
• Hybrid cars use the principle of regenerative braking which means that they recover the kinetic energy which is lost in the barking time to be stored in the battery. So it is good way to conserve energy.
• If you are ready to have more power full driving comfort. As they have higher pick up due to the electric motor having quick pick up they provide good response to the divers.
• Many nations have started giving tax exemptions on buying hybrids so you can save tax by using hybrid cars.
• Hybrids are very good in city driving where the traffic is high. For example, in Bangalore where you have to stop and go after every 2-3 minutes due to high traffic, you will definitely want to maximize the use of the every single drop of the fuel.

In my opinion, if you are escapist and fearing the high initial cost then you will not be agree to my points. Yeah today the Hybrids are costlier than there counterparts as there have been tremendous amount of research and time and material which is been applied to the launching such cars. The future lies in hybrid cars, very soon gasoline cars are going to be rolled out of the market. Have you ever thought about the famous YouTube video player which completely change the way videos are run on websites ? Before YouTube no one on this earth ever tried Adobe (macromedia) flash to show videos on web pages. YouTube was launch in February 2005 by Chad Hurley, Steve Chen and Jawed Karim. Before launching YouTube, they were PayPal employees. While working at PayPal they got an idea of a video portal as at that time watching videos on web pages was very painful due to their slow speed. They decided to use Adobe Flash technology in the videos to display user-generated video content, including movie clips, TV clips and music videos. The work was divided. Hurley designed user interface and logo of YouTube. Chen and Karim took the job of handling back end development. It was Jawed Karim who developed the YouTube flash Video Player. Even he uploaded the first YouTube video. After completing the development of YouTube, they later divided management responsibilities. Hurley became CEO of YouTube and Chen, chief technology officer.

While, Jawed joined Stanford for his PhD in computer science. So he was quite out of lime light during the famous YouTube acquisition by Google. But he continued advising YouTube and its new employees. Jawed is a computer science graduate from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He left the college prior to graduating to become an employee at PayPal. There he meet the other two co-founders of YouTube and finally changed the way users watch videos on web pages.

So, why this player is so crucial for YouTube ? What is the secret of its high speed ? As already discussed, YouTube video player is based on Macromedia’s. This technology allows the site to display videos with better quality and higher speed as compared other video players like Windows Media Player, QuickTime and Real Player. These old players require the user to download and install a web browser plugin in order to view video. Whereas YouTube players requires Flash plug-in to be installed in the browser. Videos uploaded to YouTube are limited to 10 minutes in length, and a file size of 1 GB. YouTube converts videos into the Flash Video format after uploading. On YouTube users can upload videos in the .WMV, .AVI, .MOV, MPEG and .MP4 formats. It also supports 3GP, so you can also uploaded videos directly through your mobile phones.

Nothing can remain as constant and when it comes to be at the top there will be a dynamic in nature as no body can hold it long with himself, it a common saying “whatever goes up will come down”, so it happened with Hitler. He was a common man who tried to do things very different, which has brought him to be noticed. Hitler was the fourth child to the parents of Alois and Klara Hitler. They used to live in Austria. Hitler was a good student since his childhood. He took singing lessons and sang in the church choir. When he was teenager, he began to rebel. The signs of the hie marveick nature should some sign when he left school at the age of 16, for the passion to become artist. If you are surprised with the title of the post. Then let me tell you neither I have gone mad and nor joking. It is true. You can also sell you life on eBay. There is a 44 years old guy called Ian Usher has already done this thing. He lost his beloved dad to cancer and his 12 years old partner ditched him. Then he decided to sell his life on eBay. So this poor guy’s life is up for sale on eBay and he has become the first person in internet history ever to sell their life on eBay. After buying his life, the buyer will become owner of Usher’s three-bedroom house in Perth, a trial for his job at a rug store, his car, motorbike, clothes and other household materials and even friends.

This auction will conclude on 29th June. Ian is hoping to around 200,000 pounds through this auction. Usher said he got the idea from a friend who had the notion of selling his life through a newspaper advertisement during a bleak period but never did it. After posting this auction on eBay, Usher had been inundated with emails from all over the world most of them are asking for advice on how to change their own lives. He is surprised with this huge response on internet.

This funny incident is not the first one. Many people have tried this thing in many other formats.

• Australian philosophy student Nicael Holt, 24, offered his life to the highest bidder last year to protest mass consumerism.
• Adam Burtle, a 20-year-old U.S. university student, offered his soul for sale on eBay in 2001, with bidding hitting $400 before eBay called it off.
• American John Freyer started allmylifeforsale.com in 2001 and sold everything he owned on eBay, later visiting the people who bought his things.

I spent this weekend watching two movies, the first one Pirates of Silicon Valley, I already discussed with you. The other movie was RajniGandha, it is an hindi film directed by Basu Chatterjee. It starred Amol Palekar, Vidya Sinha and Dinesh Thakur in the leading roles. It won the Best Picture at the Filmfare Awards in the year 1974 including the Critics Award. The movie was released in 1974 and laid the foundation for low budget films based on the life of common Indian man. This period also saw the beginning of parallel and art cinema with the emergence of actors like Om Puri, Naseeruddin Shah, Amol Palekar, Smita Patil, Shabana Azmi, Farooq Sheikh, Deepti Nawal etc. In the 1970s and the 80s, parallel cinema gave birth to a whole new breed of fresh hindi films known for its serious content, realism and naturalism, with a keen eye on the socio-political climate of the times.

Ok, hold on, let’s not go into history of Parallel Cinema. So, RajniGandha is basically a love triangle. It is story of Deepa (Vidya Sinha) who is in love with Sanjay (Amol Palekar). The movie shows the complications of a woman character. Sanjay works in a government company and trying to get promotion so that he can marry with Deepa. They both live in Delhi. Deepa is doing PhD after completing her MA degree. In the mean time, she gets an interview call for the post of Lecturer in a college from Bombay. Then she leaves for Mumbai for the interview where she meets her ex-boyfriend Naveen (Dinesh Thakur).

This reunion makes her confused and her life becomes very difficult. Actually, Naveen is her first love. They know each other from school days. She started thinking that Naveen will propose her and they will get married. On one side, she wants to be with Sanjay who also loves her very much. Actually meeting Naveen awakens the old first love and buried memories of college romance for Deepa and she starts believing herself to be in love with him, all over again. She stays for one week in Bombay and then she returns to Delhi. But she finds herself thinking of Naveen all the time and starts missing him deeply. Finally after Sanjay’s arrival, she gets out of her dilemma and realizes where her true love is Sanjay, not Naveen.

The movie is completely focused on the actress, Vidya Sinha. The whole story revolves around her, showing double sided Deepa’s Mind. The music of the film is given by Salil Chowdhury. There are only two songs in the film. ‘Kai Baar Yunhi Dekha Hai,’ by Mukesh describes the conflict in Deepa’s mind.Amol Palekar is one of my favorite actors. His performances in films like Rajnigandha, Chhoti Si Baat, Chitchor, Baaton Baaton Main, Naram Garam, Golmaal, Rang Birangi, Meri Biwi Ki Shaadi, Damaad and Gharonda are some of the masterpieces of Indian Cinema.
