Generally when we purchase the computer, we have two options. Either we purchase some branded PC (Pre-assembled PC) or buy assembled PC (Purchase Individual Components). We can buy branded or pre-assembled PC from resellers like HP, IBM, Sony, HCL etc. These resellers charge a premium for the assembly services that they offer. It makes sense that they pay people to assemble custom PCs and, as a result, their PCs carry a price premium when compared to the raw cost of the parts contained within. In second option, you can computer parts like RAM, hard disk, mother board, mouse, monitor, keyboard, graphics card. In this case you have to assemble the PC using these components with the help of some expert The second option is much cheaper as the prices of individual parts are affordable, and probably offer the cheapest path to owning a PC.

These days I have been watching some of the best movies of both Hollywood and bollywood (including non-Hindi movies also). Today I am thinking about the basic difference between our movies and Hollywood movies. Why we have never won the award for best foreign film in Oscars ? There may be many reasons for this failure. But I am going to point out the most significant one in these columns. Let’s take the list of top movies from Hollywood, The Godfather, The Shawshank Redemption, Schindler’s List, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, To Kill a Mockingbird, Forrest Gump and Gone with the Wind. These are some of the finest movies of World Cinema. But there is one thing common in all these movies. What is that common thing ? All these movies are inspired from some novel or story.
The GodFather — It is based on the novel of the same name by Mario Puzo. It is story of Corleone crime family and their enemies.
The Shawshank Redemption — The Shawshank Redemption is based on the Stephen King’s novel “Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption”.
Schindler’s List, a biographical film directed by Steven Spielberg, telling the story of Oskar Schindler, a German businessman who saved the lives of over one thousand Polish Jews during the second world war. It was based on the novel Schindler’s Ark by Thomas Keneally.
One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest is an adaptation of the 1962 novel of the same name by Ken Kesey.
To Kill a Mockingbird is a 1962 Academy Award-winning film based on the novel of the same name by Harper Lee.
Forrest Gump is a 1994 film based on the 1986 novel of the same name by Winston Groom.
Gone with the Wind is a 1936 American novel by Margaret Mitchell during the American Civil War and Reconstruction. The novel won the 1937 Pulitzer Prize and was adapted into an Academy Award-winning 1939 film of the same name
So all these movies were adapted from some of the best selling novels of their times. Even if we talk about Harry Potter series, Lord of the Rings series, matrix series, they all are inspired from some literary works like fiction, drama, novel etc.
You must have heard the saying that “Literature is the mirror of the society”. The literature of a country is affected and influenced by how the people of that country live and behave. In USA, the film industry is greatly influenced by their society, culture, values, life-style etc so directors and producers prefer to adapt famous novels and stories in their movies. This is the reason why you will see most of the successful Hollywood movies are inspired from literary works. Now let us talk about India and Indian film industry. If you talk to some layman and ask about Indian movies he will tell you “Movies means action, violence, hero heroines dancing around trees, a rape scene of heroine by villain, 7-8 useless songs, sentimental dialogues between here and his mother, some case of lost and found, foreign trip of the characters etc.” This is all what we feel about Indian cinema. One thing I would like to add in this list is the deviation of Indian cinema from society, culture and values. In Hindi movies, you will see rich and stylish characters having pockets full of money, no tension of job or business, money is flowing from every side. But is it happening in India. Do they show the real picture ? The answer is NO. You can’t see the the real picture of India in its movies. I agree there are some exceptions but they are like drop in an ocean.
Why Indian Filmmakers do not get inspiration from rich Indian literature ? India glimpses its enrichment in art and culture by the scriptures and valuable books which were written by eminent writers such as Vyas (Gita), Charak (Charak Sahimta), Kalidas (Abhijnanshakuntalam), Valmiki (Ramayan), Tulsidas (Ramsharitmanas), Vishnu Sharma (Punchtantra), Kautilya (Arthshatra), Nehru (Discovery of India), Tagore (Geetanjali), PremChand etc. Even world’s two major epics Ramayan and Mahabharat are from our country. India’s literature enables us to compare with those foreign literatures that are considered enriched beyond expectation, for example Greek and English literature.
I have seen some good movies which are based on some literary works like the Apu Trilogy by Satyajit Ray. In Hindi movies we have Devdas (not the new one), Angoor, Umrao Jaan, Shatranj Ke Khiladi, Guide, Hazaar Chaurasi Ki Ma, Rajnigandha, Parineeta, Maqbool, Omkaara, Utsav Junoon, Mausam, Kalyug, Garam Hawa, Khushboo, Sahib Biwi Aur Ghulam, Teesri Kasam, Raincoat, Pinjar, Mother India, Amar Prem, Rudaali etc. But this list is very small. Still no Filmmaker in India is ready to make films on literary works of R. K. Narayan, Vikram Seth, Salman Rushdie, Arundhati Roy, Raja Rao, Amitav Ghosh, Vikram Chandra, Mukul Kesavan, Shashi Tharoor, Nayantara Sehgal, Anita Desai, Ashok Banker, Shashi Deshpande, Jhumpa Lahiri, and Bharati Mukherjee.
India is a land of 22 officially recognized languages, and a huge variety of literature has been produced in these languages over the years they why Indian film industry is not using this huge resource for making quality and world class movies. In my opinion filmmakers like Karan Johar, Subhash, Yash Raj banners should think in this direction. If Karan Johar will continue showing Shahrukh landing on the roof of the palace and coming out of helicopter to meet his mother, people will forget him after 5-6 years. Let’s forget Hollywood, simply take the example of Satyajit Ray, his finest movies are all based on literary works. That is why he is considered the greatest filmmaker of Indian Film industry. It’s my request to Indian Filmmakers to dig the Indian stories, novels and poems to get an idea of new script for their new film.
Today when I woke up this morning, I decided let’s start the day by watching some world class movie. So I started browsing imdb for some cool Hollywood movie. Suddenly while googling for some old and popular classic, I found the list of Top 100 movies of the world by Time magazine. I surprised to see five Indian movies there. The Indian movies in the list were The Apu Trilogy [Pather Panchali (Song Of The Little Road), Aparajito (The Unvanquished) and Apur Sansar (The World of Apu)], Nayakan and Pyaasa. All the five movies are some of the masterpieces of Indian cinema.
The Apu Trilogy
The Apu trilogy is a series of three films directed by Satyajit Ray between 1955 and 1960. All the three movie were based on the novel of famous Bengali author Bibhutibhushan Bandopadhyay. This trilogy is considered as the greatest achievement of Indian Cinema. Pather Panchali won 12 international prizes, followed by a Golden Lion in Venice for Aparajito and many other awards for Apur Sansar.
Pather Panchali is the story of a poor family living in a small village of West Bengal. In the movie you will see a priest Harihar, his wife Sarbajaya, his two children Apu and Durga, and his aged cousin Indir Thakrun, struggle to make both end meet during the period of Indian Independence when there was huge poverty in Indian villages. Harihar is frequently away from home on work. The wife is raising her mischievous daughter Durga and caring for elderly cousin Indir. Apu is born. Soon, Durga and Apu build a bond as they explore the world around the village. On a stormy day, following a joyous dance in the monsoon rains, Durga dies. On Harihar’s return, the family leaves their village in search of a new life in Benaras. The film closes with an image of Harihar, wife and son – Apu, moving way in an ox cart to Benaras. The sequences of Durga and Apu in Mango garden are the most cinematic moments in this movie.
Aparajito — In the city of Benaras Harihar dies after an illness. After the death of her husband Sarbajaya decides to return with Apu to the village where they struggle for existence. The mother wants her son to become a priest like his father, but the son, Apu persuades her to send him to school. She makes every possible sacrifices to make it possible for Apu to study. Apu wins a scholarship and leaves for the city, Calcutta. Sarbajaya, the mother, falls ill. Delayed by his exams, Apu arrives too late. She finally died and Apu again leaves for Calcutta.
Apur Sansar is the story of Apu the man. Apu gave up studies and look for work. But he didn’t find the job, so he started writing a novel based on his life. In the meantime Apu gets married to a village girl (played by Sharmila Tagore). His wife finds herself disoriented in the new city life but finally they develop a companionship and fall in love. Then she becomes pregnant and leaves to be with her family for childbirth. She dies while giving birth to her son. Apu blames the infant for its mother’s death and refuses to see his face. At last after series of incidents and drama, he gives up his novel and goes to meet his son. After the reunion, both father and son leave for Calcutta.
Discovery of train by Apu and Durga, the candy seller scene, Durga giving mango to Indir, Indir Thakrun’s death, Durga’s death and Harihar’s realization of Durga’s death in Pather Panchali; The family leaving the village, Harihar’s death, Sarbajaya’s (Apu’s mother) death on a night sparkling with fire flies and Apu’s encounter with the empty house in the village in Aparajito; and Apu’s marriage, developing of bond with wife and the first encounter with his son in Apur Sansar. If there is any text book for Indian Cinema, all these scenes will be part of its lessons.
Some critics feel that this trilogy is influenced by the works of Jean Renoir and Italian neorealism. If you have seen the Italian movie Ladri di biciclette (The Bicycle Thieves) directed by Vittorio De Sica then you will find many similarities between Apu Trilogy and the famous Italian movie. Even Satyajit Ray quoted the film as the seminal influence on his choice of film-making as a career.
Director Ray reveals an order of poetic insight and a gift of visual anecdote that combine to produce some astonishing effects — Time Magazine
Pyasa — Thank God, there is one Hindi movie in this list. Pyasa was directed by Guru Dutt and he himself played the main role in the movie after getting rejection from Dilip Kumar. Guru Dutt is considered as the most brilliant filmmakers of India. He is mainly famous for his three movies, Pyasa, Sahib, Biwi aur Ghulam and Kaagaz Ke Phool. The film Pyasa is the story of struggling poet, Vijay who is trying to make his works known in post-independence India. Gulabo is a prostitute helps him get his poems published. Guru Dutt did the lead role of a suffering poet and Waheeda Rehman his admirer and a prostitute. S. D. Burman music and lyrics by Sahir Ludhianvi is brilliant and mind blowing in this movie. Songs like “Jaane woh kaise log the”, “Jinhe naaz hai Hind par who kahan hain” and the heartrending ” Yeh duniya agar mil bhi jaaye to kya hai ” are true classics of Hindi music.
Nayakan — It was inspired from the famous “The Godfather” trilogy. Nayakan is a tamil move written and directed by Mani Ratnam. The movie revolves around the life of a real-life underworld don called Varada or Varadarajan Mudaliar. It sympathetically depicts the struggle of South Indians living in Mumbai. Kamal Hassan played the main character of Varda, the underworld don. Nayakan’s music was composed by Ilaiyaraaja. This movie helped Kamal Haasan secure National Award for best actor. No doubt, Nayagan was nominated by India as its entry for the Best Foreign Language Film for the Academy Awards in 1987.
So with the help of torrents, now I have got all these five movies in my hard disk. Now believe me, I am confused which movie to watch first.
Bengal is famous for its literature, poets and rich culture. I am also a big fan of Bengali literature. I am damn sure you must have heard the names of Rabindranath Tagore, Arundhati Roy, Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay, Nirad C. Chaudhuri, Bibhutibhushan Bandopadhyay, Taslima Nasrin etc. But I am not going to talk about these notable literary figures of Bengal. Have you heard the name of Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay ? I guess, the answer will be “No”. He is the author of “Byomkesh Bakshi”. Byomkesh Bakshi is a fictional Bengali detective created by Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay in 1932. The character is inspired by Sherlock Holmes. However it is completely adapted to Bengali culture by the author. The stories were made into a popular television series (one of my favorites) by Basu Chatterjee featuring Rajit Kapoor as Byomkesh Bakshi. Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay wrote in total 33 stories of ‘Satyanweshi’ Byomkesh Bakshi.
“Saradindu Bandyopadhyay’s Byomkesh Bakshi mysteries heralded a new era in Bengali popular fiction. Set in the old-world Calcutta of the Raj, these stories featuring the astute investigator and his chronicler friend Ajit are still as gripping and delightful as when they first appeared.”
(from the cover page of “Byomkesh Bakshi” English translation)
Almost all the episodes of “Byomkesh Bakshi” are uploaded on YouTube. Search “Byomkesh Bakshi” there, you will get all the episodes. If you know Bengali, then you can download these 33 stories from esnips. in pdf format.
After the launch of Buzz, Yahoo has now come with a complete new website called Shine or you can this as a blog for women. At present it is featuring original articles and content from publishing partners like Conde Nast, Hearst, Time etc. Shine is targeting to grab the attention of approximately forty million women every month aged between 25 to 45. This site is offering 9 categories of interest for its readers which include entertainment, healthy living, love and sex, work and money, and much more.
According to blog researchers, females are more inclined to blogs as compared to males. They love to write their own blog entries, putting comments on other’s articles. Yahoo is coming with great features on Shine like integration of Yahoo mail, search, food, health, astrology on Shine. They are even thinking of integrating Yahoo Messenger and Yahoo Answers with this women’s website. This Yahoo’ s new product has to compete with iVillage, Glam.com etc. In my opinion, Shine is looking less cluttered, more clear, having easy navigation, simple design when I compare with its competitor sites. On Shine you can write your own articles also, you can comment on articles, vote in daily polls. But for all these facilities, you should have Yahoo Id. Seems very interesting, so girls, women go and check this out and shine with Yahoo.
Everybody knows Apple, I am not talking about the fruit. It’s time to discuss the Apple, one of the world’s largest consumer electronics and software products company. Apple develops, sells, and supports a series of personal computers, portable media players, mobile phones, computer software, and computer hardware and hardware accessories. Famous Apple hardware products are Macintosh personal computers, the iPod music players, and the iPhone. Some of the Apple’s software are the Mac OS X operating system, the iLife suite of multimedia and creativity software, and Final Cut Studio, a suite of professional audio- and film-industry software products.
Today, I have seen one 23 years old Macintosh ad on YouTube. It is a television commercial launched by Apple Computer in 1984 to promote the Macintosh personal computer in the United States. The commercial was influenced by the book Nineteen Eighty-Four by George Orwell. The ad showed Anya Major wearing red shorts, red running shoes, and a white tank top with a Picasso-style picture of Apple’s Macintosh computer, running through an Orwellian world to throw a sledgehammer at a TV image of Big Brother (representation of IBM). It was followed by an on-screen message, “On January 24th, Apple Computer will introduce Macintosh. And you’ll see why 1984 won’t be like 1984.”
Yeah friends, I have been cheated by my four college friends. Oh no, why I am calling them friends, it is better to have enemies in place of such friends. I lost almost 32 thousand rupees (almost 800 dollars) due to these cheaters. Now they are trying to use me to cheat other friends in our coterie. But enough is enough, I will not let them make innocent people fool. The time has come to disclose their secret to the world. Hold on, I will tell you the complete set of incidents that took place and ultimately caused me big financial loss. Actually these fraud people are maintaining a big network in Bangalore, Pune, Chennai, Hyderabad and other big cities of India. On 9th February 2008, I was emotionally blackmailed and mentally tortured to become its member. I will never forget that rainy day in Bangalore when Shayam, Ravi and Deepak from Chennai came to Bangalore with a fixed target in their mind. What was that target ? To pressurize me by showing fake cheques, giving wrong information so that one more Prospect will become the become of Chain Marketing. My other friend, Asmit who couldn’t manage to come told me that he was earning good money in this business. I think everything has become messed up and confusing so let us proceed step by step. These are the steps and master plan that these four people and almost every Chain Marketing company’s member is following after getting into the greed of making quick money.
So Shayam, Ravi, Ashmit and Deepak just followed these steps and convinced me to become the Chain Marketing company’s member. So now big question, what they earned from that ? Nothing, just nothing. However they spoiled their relationship with me. Do you know what Deepak is doing, he is using a cheque of some other member of the Chain Marketing Company(Upline member — The members in the chain above a particular person are called uplines.)
These people are using this cheque and saying their friends that “Seema Jain is mother of Deepak and Deepak is earning lakhs of rupees per month”. So all the software professionals beware Deepak may approach you with such cheques. Even Shayam is using this cheque in Bangalore to increase the members of Chain Marketing Company.
I always consider these four persons as my good friends. But I will never forget their statements regarding that Chain Marketing Company. So let’s see what they told me ?
Shayam — Yaar tagra business hia, I want to purchase a flat in hyderabad and with the salary of Accenture it is not possible in 2-3 years so I have joined Chain Marketing company. Believe me, Abhishek since you are my best friend that’s why I am sharing these secrets with you. We will work together and become millionaires. See Deepak’s cheque of 50 thousand rupees has just come this week.
Ravi — You know me from College time, I have never done any stupid thing in life. So I will strongly recommend you to become its member. I will put my achievements of this chain marketing company in my resume.
Deepak — Yaar, I have got the goal of my life. I can earn millions here and see I am earning. This chain marketing experience will help me to get admission in good B school.
Asmit — Don’t complain me after some time that I didn’t tell you the secret of making money. See I have earned 20000 within a month.
End of the story :: What I lost due to that Chain Marketing Company?
Shyam, Ravi, Ashmit, Deepak have lost my friendship, now I will never wish anything good for them, at least in this life.
I have lost my faith on my these college friends. Whenever I will remember the college days, all these events will be flashed before my eyes that what happened with me after leaving the college. Even I am not going in Convocation of my college on coming 11th April.
Instead of telling the lie and showing the fake cheques, had they told me the fact, I would have given 30k rupees without any question. But everything is finished now.
I have to show their real face infront of the world.
Now I will share a true story of another victim which I got through a chain mail.
First of all I had been invited by one of my office colleague to come for the meeting his friends. He asked me to come on Saturday (Holiday) to meet his friends and to have some fun there. I think he invited me because he wanted me to push him up by joining as his down line. I blindly trusted him and went with him. He took me one small office maintained by his up lines and asked me to wait for a while to introduce me all. After a bit time later, I was introduced to all where most of are all working in software industry.
The occasion was called ‘A business Presentation’. I was taken to a closed room; some guys came to me and asked all my personal details including family details also. They noted all my financial burdens to their mind and started presentation. I took my time to listen, bringing with me a pen and a paper just to make sure that I don’t miss even a single point from the presenters. Just before the presentation started, I looked around to see if there was anybody I know. I couldn’t find anyone I know, other than my colleague. We were a group of about twenty and I wasn’t expecting to see a lot of people that I know. Instantly, the element of trust started to build up in my mind. Eventually the presentation started.
Wow, a talkative & smart enough guy sat in front of me to present a business, guy from Software Industry who had made lakhs of rupees in the shortest time imaginable. The introducer went on to tell me the names of those who had already joined the Chain Marketing community from the locals, himself included. During this time, my mind was off because I was looking forward to the real business idea. The credits for the idea (the company) and the presenter were just beyond human imagination, it appeared as if we had reached an all time solution to our financial problems.
The moment of truth came and the presentation started. ‘I’m so and so, from a reputed IT organization and have done A, B, C, to no avail. Bla, bla, bla,…’ Worth noting is that all other products and services were discussed, but special emphasis was made on the mesmerizing me. During the presentation, the trap lays are:
1. They identified that I am very much fresh to this kind of network business and its concept. They tried to take an advantage with my weakness and successes finally. And they (top leaders, smart, power and public speakers like Anuradha, Nagaraj, Sridhar…etc) started the Business presentation and I trusted them because the main reason I Trust the person who was introduced me to them is my colleague cum friend but he also blind and don’t know the reality. It is a logical method which they will try to bring us into business.
2. They made me a dream. (You should dream, without dreams then there is no future) and told me the importance of change in life. Compared with many successful personalities like Infosys Narayana Murthy, Reliance Ambanies etc. (If you don’t accept the change, You will not get success in my life and if you keep continue the same work and routine activities, there is no way to reach highest positions in life…etc) By the way they tried me to put my concentration upon them to get into this loop. And they sold my own dream to me as a gold numismatic valued item and weekly income.
3. They made me believe the credibility of the company from showing cheques, showing coins, showing the customer list of the company (bodies like WHO, World Olympic committee, Vatican city and Pope etc. This is true but the tie ups carried between the GQ and these bodies were not network marketing)…through reputed people in my own country, neibourhood and specially the company I work for. They showed me a false team spirit which they said they work as a huge family, huge team and doing this to help people (but reality is the members join later in this team is always jealous about the people on top). They showed me cheques they earn and made me feel like if I not join this I’ll be left behind.
4. They said it’s a global business and it is running all over world. It is legal and accepted all over world and comparatively no other business is there like to earn money fast.
5. They let me to believe it is only the way I can earn fast by investing Rs 32,200 + Rs 460 /- only once and I can get the income for 2 generations regularly on weekly basis.
6. And they let me to believe that I can get the numismatic value to my product after few months apart from earning weekly wise income ranging form Rs 11,500 to Rs 5, 75,000 per week. And they believed me that I can get what ever I dream for through Chain Marketing.
7. Next I was told about what are the needful things to do to join with them. They said first I need to get registration & purchase a product from list of products. I have chosen the gold coin for Konark Sun temple. Then I was completely unaware of its worth and weight. Even I didn’t have the thought to ask for the same as I was in inspired mood.
8. After completion of presentation, I was asked how the business plan is and I replied it is very good as I new to this kind of businesses.
9. Immediately I was told about investments for registration & product details. And asked me how is the investments. I just then replied too much to afford it is. After they asked me what are the credit cards I am holding then. I told only one credit card I am using that too very urgent case only. Then the presenter asked my details like name, address, some account details like Pan Card etc.
10. After they took me to Lunch and offered me free lunch and then took me the same place to registration. They done all my registration with the details I provided earlier and finally asked my credit card details. I was then thinking once again and tried to get suggestions from friends. When I tried to call some of my friends, they asked me it is an opportunity I am missing if I call to my friends. And they didn’t give me an opportunity to get arise a second thought in my mind. It was totally blocked by their words and inspirations.
11. I was totally then in mesmerized & inspired mood and unconsciously given my card to that team. They did my registration. After completion of registration, all came to me and wished me as “welcome to Chain Marketers family”.
12. Registration was completed and every one was happy. They took me to another room and explained me what are the does and don’t. In the do and don’t, they told the ways to get the members to presentation.
13. In the “Does & Don’t” section, they instructed me to get my friends, relatives, colleagues to the presentation without tell them first about company and its process. I just have to invite them there as telling meeting friends or having party etc.
14. Once I get them to the local office where usually presentations going, they once again repeat the process same to the new members also. It is a continues process to get the people join and invest their money as I was.
After me joined, They conducted conferences like VCon, Recom, Mouna (I have been to all these several times) by the people like Padma, Anuradha, Shabarinath etc. come these and they use powerful brain storming tools to change the minds of people to go ahead with this business…but they be careful not to use the work GQ in these seminars. These training are good in away because it will make you a good human being and make the way think different but these people use these for wrong purposes. I.e. To get the new members into the business.
Here ends this true story.
So before joining Chain Marketing, please read this article. I am confident, after this you will never like to hear the name of this business. It is graveyard of friendship, please spread this word and give link to this articles so as to protect innocent persons from MLM or chain marketing.
In the end, I would like to quote from binaryday
Everything said and done do remember that good friends are really important in life. Hence be cautious while you are mixing friendship and business. To abhishek, 32k is a really small amount to pay to learn about 3 people that you considered friends are not your friends. So be happy that the incident happened. And thanks for making all of us aware about a fraud programme.
All the names and locations which are given in this article are all imaginary as I do not want to hurt anyone’s feelings through this article. Just I want to beware my friends and other people from such things so that what happened with me, may not happen with any other innocent person.
If this article is hurting someone’s feelings then please contact me, I will take the required action.
Who is a leader ? Leaders do not come from moon. They are just an ordinary person like you or me. Only thing that makes a difference is their ability to do extraordinary things in ordinary ways. A leader helps others do and become more than they ever thought possible.
Leadership is all about unlocking potential, it may be individual potential or that of a group, company, or an organization. In every area of life, good leadership gets things done. It is not about telling people what to do, but inspiring them to see what they are capable of, then, helping them get there.
Good leaders know themselves. Knowing oneself is necessary when faced with challenges or ethical choices, communicating with those who have different ideas, making decisions, and identifying sources of satisfaction. Good leaders are always willing to commit and take news responsibilities.
They always accept changes as they recognize the value of change. They know that everything is in motion, i.e continually changing. If they will not adapt to new changes their followers will forget them.
Anyone can become a good leader, just you need to have ability to think differently, group together the friends, relatives, followers, workers etc, take tough decisions in crunch situations, ready to show commitment etc.
Warren Buffett is an American investor, businessman and philanthropist. He is regarded as one of the world’s greatest stock market investors, and is the largest shareholder and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway. With an estimated net worth of around US$62 billion, he was ranked by Forbes as the richest person in the world as of March 5, 2008. He is also known as the Oracle of Omaha. In 2007, Buffett was listed among Time’s 100 Most Influential People in The World.
Following are some very interesting aspects of his life
He bought his first share at the age of 11 and he now regrets that he started too late! He bought a small farm at age 14 with savings from delivering newspapers.
He still lives in the same small 3-bedroom house in mid-town Omaha , that he bought after he got married 50 years ago. He says that he has everything he needs in that house. His house does not have a wall or a fence. He says that don’t buy more than what you “really need”.
He drives his own car everywhere and does not have a driver or security people around him. He never travels by private jet, although he owns the world’s largest private jet company. He encourages people to think how to accomplish things economically.
His company, Berkshire Hathaway, owns 63 companies. He writes only one letter each year to the CEOs of these companies, giving them goals for the year. He never holds meetings or calls them on a regular basis. He believes in assigning the right people to the right jobs.
He has given his CEO’s only two rules. Rule number 1: do not lose any of your share holder’s money. Rule number 2: Do not forget rule number 1. He asks his employees to set goals and make sure people focus on them.
He does not socialize with the high society crowd. His past time after he gets home is to make himself some pop corn and watch television. He never tries to show off, he tells “just be your self and do what you enjoy doing”
Warren Buffet does not carry a cell phone, nor has a computer on his desk.
Bill Gates, the world’s richest man met him for the first time only 5 years ago. Bill Gates did not think he had anything in common with Warren Buffet. So he had scheduled his meeting only for half hour. But when Gates met him, the meeting lasted for ten hours and Bill Gates became a devotee of Warren Buffet.
His advice to young people:
“Stay away from credit cards or bank loans and invest in yourself and always remember: Money doesn’t create man but it is the man who created money. Live your life as simple as you are. Don’t do what others say, just listen them, but do what you feel good. Don’t go on brand name; just wear those things in which you feel comfortable. Don’t waste your money on unnecessary things; just spend on them who really in need rather. After all it’s your life then why give chance to others to rule our life. The happiest people do not necessarily have the best of all. They simply appreciate what they find on their way”
Do you know about the gmail policy of sending mails to large number of users at a time. Then never try to send emails to more than 500 recipients at a time. As Google will temporarily disable your account if you send a message to more than 500 recipients or if you send a large number of undeliverable messages. In the case if you are using a POP or IMAP client (Microsoft Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird or Apple Mail etc.), you may only send a message to 100 people at a time and if you access Gmail from the browser, you may not address an email message to more than 500 people at a time. So the best email service is doing like this, then there is no point in discussing others. Now the question arises that if a person is involved in online business then sending emails to unlimited persons at a time is very important part of the business. What is the solution ? Yeah, there is a solution. I have just seen a bulk email sender software while googling on internet. Atomic Mail Sender (AMS) is a stand-alone bulk mailer software program with built-in tracking facilities to design, send and monitor bulk personalized messages.
AMS is not only a secure direct mailer but it also comes with excellent mail Tracker. Once you are registered with the Mail Tracker service and the campaign name is created in AMS, our system starts monitoring the status of every email sent out under that email campaign name.
Salient features of Atomic Bulk Mail Sender ::
It has got its own internal SMTP server and delivers mail messages directly to email recipients without your ISP mailbox.
Using standard 56K modem or 64K ISDN connection you can send hundreds personal email messages.
With AMS, you can also control and compare the effectiveness of your email campaigns by monitoring who, from what country and when opens your email, clicks links or loads images. So, being integrated with Atomic Email Tracker (web-based newsletter monitoring system), the program can be set to create an invisible code and insert it into sent messages.
Atomic Mail Sender 4.2 is available for only $79.85. There is a speical offer going on. You can purchase a pack of Atomic Mail Sender + 1-year Email Tracker service for $149. Buying this package means that you are getting Atomic Mail Sender at $21 only.
Don’t put your gmail, yahoo, hotmail emails at stake while sending bulk mails. Better to use such bulk mail senders for secure business.
