A bad news for cigarettes smokers in India. Government of India has decided to ban smoking in in all public places from 2nd October, Gandhi Jayanti. Now you can’t smoke in hotels, restaurants, offices, public gatherings etc. Moreover, if you get caught while smoking, then a fine of Rs 200 would be imposed. The health ministry has also plans to increase the fine to Rs 1000 after some time. Even if the employer will be fined if their employees are found smoking inside office premises. Smokers will also be fined for lighting up their cigarettes in even pubs, bars and discotheques. Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Dr. Anbumani Ramadoss is the brain behind all these new measures. He has already banned smoking in India movies.
I feel that the idea behind this ban is to discourage smoking by making it more inconvenient, and to stop harmful smoke being present in enclosed public spaces. According to WHO reports, in developed countries, 26% of male deaths and 9% of female deaths are due to smoking. So time has come to say no to Smoking.
This is a new milestone in mobile computing. HP has announced the launch of a new HP EliteBook 6930p configured with an optional ultra-capacity battery delivered up to 24 hours of battery runtime. However this is only possible if you are using windows xp on your laptop. Its starting price is $ 1199. Ted Clark, senior vice president and general manager, Notebook Global Business Unit, HP said with the HP EliteBook 6930p, customers no longer have to worry about their notebook battery running out before their work day is over. This advancement in batter life has been made possible due to new HP hi-tech, engineering and energy-efficient notebook components like Intel’s solid-state hard drives and mercury-free LED displays.
Actually the highly efficient HP Illumi-Lite LED display boosts battery run time by up to 4 hours compared to traditional LCD displays, while the Intel SSD provides up to a 7 percent increase in battery life compared to traditional hard drives. I am also looking forward to this laptop. This technology is definitely a boon for regular travelers who love to use their laptops while traveling.

Continuing the series on most popular Indian actresses, today I am talking about hot and popular actresses of 90s. In the 1990s, the Indian movies concentrated towards the family-centric romantic musicals with the success of movie like Dil, Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Raja Hindustani etc. This was the age of Khan actors such as Aamir Khan, Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan and actresses like Madhuri Dixit, Juhi Chawla and Kajol. However there were many action and comedy films which gained huge popularity with actors like Govinda and Akshay Kumar and actresses such as Raveena Tandon and Karisma Kapoor. This decade also marked the entry of offbeat films like Krantiveer, Takshak, Satya with actors like Nana Patekar, Manoj Bajpai, Manisha Koirala, Tabu and Urmila Matondkar. Some of these movies got commercial success also.

Whenever we need to restrict instantiation of a class to one object, then we use Singleton design Pattern. The Singleton is intended to provide a way to ensure that a class provides one instance of itself, and to provide a global point of access. The Singleton class is responsible for instantiating itself and passing that instance to the client. Therefore, the access modifier for the Singleton constructor must be either private or protected so the client cannot call the constructor itself. The Singleton also provides a method that returns the sole instance of itself to the client. The first time when the client requests an instance, the Singleton will create that instance internally and store it as a private member.

If you are from computer science or any other engineering background then you must be familiar of programming languages. C is first powerful language in computer programming . It was developed in 1972 by Dennis Ritchie at the Bell Labs. Since then in 36 years dozens of programming languages come into picture. One powerful concept OOPS also added which facilitated the object oriented concepts in programming languages. Now a days software coding has become quite complex. However most of the real life problems are still the same. So software gurus always prefer to reuse the code. While any software development some patterns are followed which are normally inspired by previous projects or better say a common solution to a particular real life problem. Today I am talking about importance of design patterns in programming languages.

Are you from Bihar? Oh! You are Bihari. Then you must be expert in corruption, have all the bad habits like smoking, drinking etc. You may have police record. So this is India’s opinion about Bihar. Actually this word ‘Bihar’ has become synonym of poverty, corruption, backwardness, violence and failed governance. Both print and Media coverage are responsible for this general opinion about Bihar. So what is the reality? I agree Bihar are poor but Biharis are not. There is no proper infrastructure, low literacy rates and big population but still Biharis try their level best to survive there. Today I am talking about Bihar due to recent comment by Goa minister. He told while participating in the discussion during the ongoing Goa Legislative Assembly session, there will be more beggars in Goa, if trains linking it to Patna are introduced. This remark has hurt the sentiments of the people of Bihar. So the minister thinks that Bihar is a state where all people are beggars. Mr. Minister, Biharis are not not beggars, they have earned enough respect and status and done Bihar proud through sheer merit and hard work.
